Re: Micro Sausage!

We have rules here ya know..... If your going to brag on your sausage recipe and go through the extra effort of posting pictures of the finished product, you are required to share the recipe with everyone here. Absolutely! Adjust ingredients according to amount of meat. 4lbs coarse ground ve...

Micro Sausage!

So I spent the evening with one of the hind quarters from the young buck I shot with my Micro, Saturday. Used my killer Italian sausage recipe and produced some fine eats! Thanks to my Micro.... Sausage and peppers season has arrived! http://i839.photobucket.com/albums/zz319/chefrific/sau1_zps7epdui...

Micro scores!

Not the biggest buck in the woods, but I was hunting sausage, not horns. I've got plenty of horns, not plenty of sausage! He was walking and I could not get him to stop. Then turned a bit more quartering away than I prefer just before the shot. 30 yard shot. Got both lungs and the ramcat severed rib...

Re: Opening weekend

Wind is all wrong here. Access to my property is only from a South gate and road. Wind forecast is a southwest wind gusting to 10mph until 9pm today. Eliminating hunting or approaching any stand without my scent being broadcast right into the heart of our place. In my youth I would stomp in anyway a...

Re: Testing Has Begun: Ramcat vs Slick Trick

Season opener for me is tomorrow! I'll be slinging Ramcats from my Micro this year. If I get lucky, I'll post up the results. One interesting point to make is that I also tested the new spitfire "xxx" mech head and it's poi is exactly the same as my 100 grain ramcats. Maybe I'll get to tes...

Re: Micro limb delam

Go through the warranty process from the yellow button on Excalibur's main page. You should hear back within a day from Dawn. Send it in to wherever they recommend and you should be good to go for opening day. I've used it twice. Once for my micro limbs and once for a faulty scope. With each case, I...

Re: Deer movement when it is HOT

Down here in Georgia, I never hunt the mornings in the Early part of the season. Looking at my cameras, it seems as though the deer do not start moving until dusk and stay on cameras until about 5am. Then rarely a thing will show up. I'm guessing they are bedding down around 5-6am and staying down d...
