Thanks for all the info! :D The feeders look easy to make and use. The only downside to them for me is the critters , expecially the deer, become 100% nocturnal feeders when they find feed is available 24/7. When I used timed broadcast feeders they would be waiting for the spinner to activate. I set...

The belief is that the old west gunfighter stood no more than 10yds apart and most of them still couldn't hit the man they were facing. I used to watch the western movies years ago and always wondered why nobody was getting hit. :D Finally dawned on my that most men couldn't shoot worth a crap and m...

Yup his speed is truly amazing. It appears that he fires the gun just as the barrel clears the holster. I see he has a deflection plate on the hostler to insure he doesn't shoot himself in the knee. I'm betting he can't draw, shoot accurately that fast.

Deer Feeders

I've seen some pictures of feeders that look like 6 or 8 inch PVC pipe standing up against trees. It appears that the must work quite well. ANyone have the info on how they are made? I've got an idea but not 100% sure. They look to be 5ft or so tall with a 45 degree fitting on the bottom

F.O.C. is nothing more than weight of the arrow being forward of center by a certain percentage Most crossbows shoot better with arrows that have 12% to 20% FOC. You can gain FOC by using heavier broadheads but they tend to be bigger . That makes them more suspectable to planing. Smaller fixed blade...

Doesn't look like a good idea to me. I use brass inserts to add weight to get F.O.C. By installing a 100gr or 110gr brass insert to 20inch crossbow arrows and using a 100gr or 125gr head makes for good FOC

Sorry to hear about the tough luck :( I would tend to believe that he crawled into a thicket, under a log, grass, weeds etc. Somelace where he could hide as he must be hurting pretty bad. You more than likely walked over or for certain right by him when you were looking. It sure gives a person a sic...

I use Baffin boots. Made In Canada. I have a pair uninsulated that I use in the spring and another pair with removal liners for winter trapping. They are great!! Best dang rubber boot I've had. Very warm, fit good, nice for walking and extremely durable!
