moon nocks
I've shot more than a few moon nocks in my xbow. They worked well for me as long as the cock feather was oriented correctly. If bysome chance the moon nock is not orienated correctly you could have a dry fire and with some of the bows thats hard on the limbs and maybe you.

compound xbow
I.voted yes. I have a Maxpoint myself as well as two other Excal recurves. The Max is deer stand shooter from a dead rest its weight is perfect for long shots at hogs, its speed rivals that of an exomax and draw weight is 50#s lighter. that alone lured me to have one. I've heard through the grape vi...

powder
I hunt with black powder only. Its been in use for avery long time and is still smokin and stinkin. As stated in several of my other post the subs are not what they are suppose to be. Be careful out there some of the subs develop high pressure when packed in tight places such as BPCR cases.

Well all of the varmit guns talked about are great. since most of have an area where viability of 500+ yd shots are not avaible. All are accurate, fast, and readily availble Now! now look at this in a different way. What ca. do the military use. In a chance of civil strife what can you pick up on mo...

hog hunting
My wife and I both carry the same type of weapon, even if we're just going to the mall. Lots of more dangerous things in the city than whats in the woods. Very good choice never stove pipes and don't stop pulling the triger til it goes klick klick.

hog hunting
And people called me crazy. I've hunted with the knife for many years and as I got a little older and wiser gave it up. A spear and crossbow are a lot safer.

processing meat
As curdog says we get our meat on ice as fast as possible. Add a little vingar and any hair that gets on the meat floats to the top of the water. Since the average temp is around 75f we have to take care of our meat fast.

wild dogs
Did you miss a shot or what? That only happens once in my part of the country. wild or feral dogs are pratice here in Texas. I love dogs and have more than a few (14) if they run a deer they get the shock collar once if they do it it twice it's happy bone yard in the sky.

stocks
Why? is it broken, warped or do you just want to replace it. Composite stocks just don't do a cllasic gun justice. Being a model 70 in 264 is a pretty valuable gun, assuming its a pre 64 model. If you just have to put one on a MacMillan is one of the best but pricy.
