federals don't work well out of pumps either The Top Guns can be a bit "sticky" in the chamber. Even the old Federal Gold Medal hulls, their top of the line target shell with the brass heads (not plated steel) can resist extraction, slightly after a few reloads and that is after full re-s...

Re: b

Very good post 10ring. Nice to hear from you. :) ! Thanks, I'm "alive and well" , shooting trap at the Canadian Sportsmans Club. The Super Targets see some use on trap ranges but many trap shooters these days use break action guns, for example, the extractor on a BT-99 will pull so...

Re: SX3 Debut

The third round I switched up to Winchester Super Target Loads #7 1/2. Every one but three of them failed to eject! : This may not be the cause of your problem but I have observed at our club, where I am trap chairman and shoot every weekend, that if a gun is going to have ejection problems, Super ...

Too bad you're a ways away from Fort Erie, our club has a nice clubhouse with a single trap layout to ATA spec.'s with an automatic trap.

Non-members are quite welcome there.

i didn't realize this was an old thread Mike, it may be an old thread but the Liberals are consistant on this issue and I thought with the election coming next week, it was time to bring it forward. Here is a lengthy read on the current issue and Dion's plans for us; http://www.nfa.ca/content/view/...

To the top.

I fear with the downturn in the cconomy, that the Lieberals will be able to convince enough people they can somehow insolate Canada and Canadians from the effects and get elected next week.

Be perpared in the next 4 years to lose your Auto 5's, Rem. 1100's, Benelli's, Ber 390's.....etc.

Here is a copy of something I posted on a shotgun forum. It is about the Chinese copy of the Remington 870, I have the same opinion of the copy of the Excalibur. What follows is my opinion, others will differ; In regards to the Chinese made copy of the Remington 870, personally, I have a major probl...

Here's a couple thoughts on "Mayor Miller". 1.) If the interest was purely in saving lives, why doesn't he want to shutdown the sale of tobacco products within his jurisdiction? They cost more lives than handguns per year by a wide margin. This is a rhetorical question; I am sure it is mor...

Are you sure your blood pressure isn't shooting up? I only ask because when mine goes up the first signs are a headache. I don't know, it is possible. Every time I get my blood pressure checked, its good (for a 55 year old that eats too much of the wrong stuff  ). That's not to say it doesn't...

I believe if you have the BT-99 ported; lengthen the forcing cone and maybe backbore and you will not get the headaches. There's a lot of differnt opinions and experiences on these features. We had all those mod.'s that done to a 1984 manufacture BT that my wife shot in the early 1990's, porting wa...

I had a guy tell me that it takes about 10,000 rounds to start hitting well with a particular gun and I believe it. I have heard that figure, I have also heard 5,000. In either case, it usually does take a lot of rounds to get truely dialed in, usually. I see inexperienced, new shooters buy their f...

I'm a former frequent poster; my posting basically stopped after 3D "died" in this area 3 or 4 years ago. I still look in here quite frequently. I am now trapchairman at the club where I used to help run the archery program. I started shooting trap regularily at that club in 1969 and have ...

I would not purchase one myself because I have some fairly definite feelings about them. There are Norinco 870 and M37 clones, to name a few. I post quite a bit on a U.S. shotgun forum and here is my standard reply to questions on the NEF "Pardner" which is an 870 clone; Personally, I have...
