Re: Some people just don't get it

Did you hear about the old couple in BC that were feeding bears around there grow op. West of Nelson BC IIRC. Some of the bears were so tame they would let the CO's scratch them. The Govt wants to let the bears return to the wild. I can't see that happening as easily as they say it will be. Can't fi...

STS and the like

Hi all I have looked at the sites about string dampeners. What is the underlying principles they are trying to accomodate? I assume they keep the string from traveling past it's needed travel ? Is there a limit that the string can take getting slowed down? Inquiring minds have to know ? Also, we hav...

Wabi
I just got my axiom. The noise was less than expected, but I checked the STS system. How do they attach? Mention something about double mount for Excal CB?

Does the STS keep the string from going past the arm tips and viberating after the shot?

Re: New Kid on the block

Thanks for the warm welcome. Well today was the day. I took the day off as it rained yesterday. I took out the target I bought. took out a tape measure and marked off 20 yards. Assembled the rope cocking aid, pulled the string back until it clicked. Slipped the safety on and loaded the 1st bolt. I t...

Re: deer and bear

A few years ago A CO asked a friend to put down a deer wounded by a car. This was during hunting season. My wife hit a buck that size in her Mazda 3. The car was a write off, lucky no one hurt. Now she drives a full size chev 1/2 ton and the deer bounce better off it. She is a commuter and hits at l...

What kind of crop is that?

Harvest is just starting in SK.

I think the Marketing dude should sent a shirt and hat to all new buyers of an Excalibur crossbow. Lots of advertising!!

Re: EPA Considering Ban on Traditional Ammunition

First post here. When they banned lead shot for waterfowl (which I agree with). They had to make bigger loads for the steel shot to be effective. In the mean time a few folks blew up shotguns with the higher pressure loads. I have never brought down a goose with steel shot. you can hear the pellets ...
