Tracer Nocks
Do not know if any of you have seen adds for the tracer nocks on tv. They are a nock that has a bright LED in it that is activated when it passes over a magnet when an arrow is shot. Really lets you see your arrow flight. I emailed the maker about the possibility of making a base to put on crossbow ...

Trigger Job
Could someone explain to me how to properly improve an excaliber trigger by spraying parts of it with WD-40. My trigger is good, but I thought I might see if it could be improved upon.

Good Job. How do you like the holosight. I am interested in how it gathers light at dusk. Do you think it lets you see and shoot a deer better at dusk than a red dot or a scope would. About how much does a holo sight cost.

No Till Food Plots
I want to try food plot. One about 50 ft by 70 feet. It is in an area we keep chopped in a woods where a field tile runs into a woods and dumps into a creek. I do not have access to a tractor/plow/disc/planter. Would it be best to go in and use some no till seed, or try and work it up with my tiller...

"The Block" Archery Target
Can someone tell me if this is as good of a target as it claims to be. How does it work with crossbow bolts. What size do you like. Thanks

Gun stock length of pull
I am a 6 foot, 2 inch guy. My whole life it has seemed like the stocks of shotguns have been to long for me. This year I put a scope on my 12 guage 1100 for deer hunting. Even with the scope (designed for shotguns) slid as far back as possible, I still could not see through the scope well. To get a ...

Are Carbon arrows more accurate
Been using aluminum bolts forever. From time to time I think about trying carbon bolts. Are carbon bolts statistically/significantly more accurate than aluminum bolts.

Sorry for your loss
I myself cry like a baby when I have an old dog put down. There is nothing I can do about it to control it. The emotion just erupts out of me. Even though it is tough emotionally to have a dog put down, I am always glad I am there with them when they go. My grandmother passed away 2 summers ago. She...

I often smell deer and red fox as I go through a woods. People laugh at me when I tell them this. This is the only place where I am understood. Sniff Sniff

Drawn to hunt a Preserve
I have been drawn to hunt Old Woman Creek Preserve next to lake Erie in Ohio. The deer population is high. I will have a 2 week window of time to hunt the preserve bow only, the last 2 weeks of Oct. There will obviously be other hunters there. Am going to an orientation meeting today to get the deta...

I prefer a scope
I also prefer a scope. I had a red dot on a shotgun once. I forgot to turn the red dot off. The battery was dead at crunch time. Maybe you are smarter than I am though. If you get a scope be sure it has a field of view greater than 60 feet at 100 yds. If you do not do this, all you will see if a dee...

Need help with fletching technique
Someone tell me what I am doing wrong. I fletch my own bolts. I enjoy this for the money it saves me and also because the students at school think I am a ninja warrior because I can make my own arrows. I can often get damaged shafts free or very inexpensively and salvage a good straight bolt out of ...

Fletchers
I have tried both straight fletch and helical/offset in both 4 and 5 inch vanes. I can not see a difference in any of them in my shooting, but I am not a great shot. I am better than many in this area, but not tournament accurate. I became a better shot when I bought my vixen. I wish I could say the...

Fletching
I also glue nocks on field points and screw them into my bolts. This works great.
