Re: Is it my imagination? Re:2018 products

I was thinking that we need to start a Excal owners support group and 12 step program for all of the folks who have owned pretty much every Excal ever made. LOL :D It looks like we may have a few volunteers here! I still want a matrix 405. maybe in 20 years when I can find one cheap. ROFL like that ...

Re: Adventures of deer hunting

And I thought I was having a bad hunting season due to a perforated appendix! I had a day in the field so I did technically have a chance of a deer, but absolutely no sign in the area at that time. Still trying to find a doc who will operate and not sit on his hands.

Re: Bone Head Move !!

I had problems with both a bad scope and arrows that would not pattern and the experts here straightened me out quickly. hopefully your problem is a minor easily fixed issue and not a repair. good luck.

Re: Well Got out this morning for the first time this year!

Well Done for the season. I have been feeling crappy for several months and recently had a lot of abdominal pain so I went to the doctor and got some blood work done. He sent me to the hospital after he got the results and it was determined that I have a perforated appendix . the surgeon at the hosp...

Well Got out this morning for the first time this year!

With the strange weather I have not bothered to head out until today. I got into the blind before legal shooting and let the bush quiet down. The morning was one of the better ones to get out since today was basically between 2 heavy rains with wind so I figured it should be excellent hunting. the t...

DISSIPATOR BARS replacement secondary pads.

I have an older Axiom with the Aluminum rail and installed dissipator pads in it just after I bought it at Bass Pro and one of the secondary pads is looking cracked or split. does Excal sell the replacement rubber pads and how much do they cost in Canada. Still shoots AWESOME even with a damaged sec...

Re: Ecal Customer service

LOL I called at something like 2:25 and they close at 2:30. the accident was not knowing they closed early on Fridays or I would have called earlier. Kudos to Dawn for answering the phone 5 minutes before her end of day! The phone service recording tells you the business hours before you get to the ...

Ecal Customer service

I called Dawn Douglas this after noon and Dawn and Excal prove once again their AWESOMENESS! Last year during deer season I lost one of the fasteners and acorn nut for the plastic dovetail bracket that the quiver slides into. I had decided to hold off calling Dawn then because I had a temp fastener ...

Re: Bow not as fast as you thought?

I noticed that with the new dead zone scope that Excal sent me getting the scope dialed in was much harder than expected this fall (for various reasons). I shoot the stock bolts that came with the Aluminum rail Axiom and 100 grain broad heads/field points with a custom string by Vixenmaster with a b...

Re: That'll leave a mark - warning graphic

Man that is nasty. hope everything heals up well! BTW: did the emerg insist on a physical exam and blood tests so the dog would not get sick? From the net: Species 8472's own somatic cells can become extremely virulent when in a foreign blood-stream, duplicating themselves rapidly. When Specie...

Re: Width??? Has it been a problem?

No matter what you shoot you will find that there are times that you cannot get the rifle/shotgun/bow into shooting position or find that they hang up in the bush. I just hunt accordingly you can never eliminate it unless you are standing in the middle of a field. I set up with the weapon I am using...

Ferguson Outfitters since I already have the guards how are your fillet gloves useful? in fact what does your comment have to do with what I have made? other than trolling the forum. and in point of fact your gloves cost about $16 per pair and my angle guards materials cost $8 CAD for the aluminum a...

Re: Do-It-Yourself Butcher???

After or butcher messed up our meat. we started doing our own with no problems. It seems that many butchers switch meat, combine meat for grinding and even short change customers as well as outrageous prices for very poor results. I just makes sense to DIY deer butchering. We have had a few good but...

Re: finger guards

Well after a few sessions at the range and 2 seasons using the thumb protectors I can say emphatically that they work really well and are still installed on my CB the double sided tape really holds well. As for the Clearance questions as I said no functional impediment to the bow, but the cocker lug...

Re: Hitting Thumb

I started thinking about building thumb savers after my dad hurt his thumb (minor injury) and was still tossing the idea around when Species wreaked his thumb. After that I came up with an easy thumb saver for my older Excal which I posted last year. http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/phpBB2/viewtopic...
