Once I tried blazers I haven't used anything else since. They stabilize any broadhead I have experimented with and are the toughest vane hands down.

The premature opening problem I had with the heads were on brand new never fired heads straight out of the package. Granted this was back in the late 90's when the heads first came out, they could have made improvements since then. Factory testing vs. real world use is 2 different things.

I tried some from an exocet and found that more times than not they would open because of the sudden initial force. I use Gator XP or Gold Tip Gladiators as far as mechanicals without any problems. Any of the forward opening mechanicals that don't use bands will usually open. On the ones that use ba...

I just bought a new phoenix 3 days ago. The trigger was not as smooth as my old exocet. I use one shot on my handguns, so I used some on the trigger assembly. It made an immediate improvement, it is a cleaner and when it dries it becomes a lubricant that won't pick up dirt.

A lot of my stand sets are that close, I just make sure I climb at least 20 ft. You have a lot less of a chance of being seen being high and close than off the trail a ways and set up low.

I have taken deer with both 2219's and gold tip 22's. End result is still the same, dead deer. The only reason I switched to carbon is the durability factor. I actually harvested 7 deer with the same bolt in carbon, 2 is the most I got out of aluminum, because of it bending. It really doesn,t matter...

The excaliburs make no more noise than the compounds, and have as much speed. What you get with excalibur is a bow that is simpler, more accurate, and the best trigger hands down. As a hunter safety instructor we get a discount from both horton and tenpoint and I can buy those bows at cost. I have o...

I've used nothing but hip quivers for over 30 years now, never a problem. Vista makes a fleece one that is very quiet and holds the arrows securely. If I'm carrying a climber on my back I just strap the belt around the stand. In the tree I just strap it to the trunk or on a limb. It makes for a ligh...

I hunted 11/8-11/12 to fill my last tag for a doe. I ended up seeing 10 bucks, 5 doe, and 4 fawns. I took the only doe that gave me a shot, and all the bucks were in range for easy shots except for 1. It is the best time to be hunting now before gun opens.

When I started bowhunting the only choices were a baker or make your own. I have owned them all and Lone wolf is the only one I own. I prefer the hand climber over the sit and climb, as I like a wide open stand. Too bad I didn,t see your post earlier, I just sold my sit and climb to a buddy last wee...
