Re: Where should I hit a turkey?

If I remember correctly you should aim for the base of the wing,if broadside, and if in full strut with his backside to you...well...right down the pooper.

Re: Tree Steps vs Climbing Sticks

I find climbing sticks easier and faster to install, also they do way less damage to the tree.

I have two ladder stands, one remington and one gorilla. Love the remington, the seat and platform distance is comfortable, not too fond of the gorilla. The fabric seat on the gorilla is very uncomfortable. I use a piece of plywood to sit on instead so I'll be modifying it this winter. I won't be buy...

This happened to a friend of mine a few years ago, the land owner wouldn't let us retrieve his deer. We went to the police and they told us there was nothing they could do, he has the right to deny access.

I also hunt in 93. Personally I don't think you have anything to worry about, there will be at least one day of rest for the deer because most of 93 doesn't allow sunday gun hunting. Also as long as your scent control is good you should be fine.

I'm not a computer guru by any means but have you tried a card reader. If your pc isn't equiped with one you can buy them pretty cheap.Your phone probably has a micro sd card so you'll need an adapter as well, unless it came with the memory card, which it should have. Plug the card reader in a usb po...

I'd have to say black bear was the best, then deer than moose. My kids almost got in a fight at the table for the last piece of bear meat, I settled it by taking it for me.

I've not heard anything about merging the two. I think what happened was they didn't send out renewals for pal's and started sending out revocation notices for firearm registrations. That has since been cleared up. If I remember correctly. Boy that would anger those of us who paid to challenge the e...

Your friend with the atv told me the story today when I was there. It sucks that there are people like that, they are no better than a poacher. Glad your timing was good and congrats on the deer.

I personally like to be in my stand at least an hour before legal shooting, it lets the woods settle a bit and if I do bump deer, unless the blow and run, they might come back.
