A few years back I had a couple of Does in front of me start fighting like that.. The big old Doe reared up and clocked the younger Doe right on top of her head.... Sounded like a baseball bat hitting a tree trunk... The young Doe almost went down for the count. She stood there for a couple of secon...

Back in the day they were the greatest thing to have while ice fishing..... I used to use one and moved it around from pocket to pocket, because they did get very hot.... As said before, not very good to use while bow hunting.... though I knew a couple of fellows that did use them while gun hunting....

I agree with Grizz... Gum boots are the best... I've used gum boots since before L L Beans Hunting Boots were a fashion statement (and thankfully) went out of fashion, simply because, for hunting they did exactly what they were supposed to do. Today there is a plethora of rubber boots (some very ins...

I like homemade stuff!!..... Call me cheap too, but I feel it's good to be resourceful.... So many folks today simply want to BUY it and when it doesn't work well enough, they go out and BUY another one... Building your own blind sure beats spending $399.00 for something that with a little sweat and...

Looks like it forgot to take off it's PJs...... A couple of seasons ago I took a lady friend of mine out for a drive one early October evening to look for deer. We drove down a dirt road near where I hunt and came upon a beautiful pibald fawn not far from the road... I was all excited and we got som...

Everybody brings up good points on this topic and I agree that it really comes down to the individual situation... It is the split second reaction to avoid a collision... I did not see the collision. I did see the damage (front driveside headlight, grille and fender)... It was early evening, no twil...
