It is the worst rut that I've hunted in many years, my game camera got one little doe and a 6 pt in the last 12 days . Little to no sign in the woods, I've seen no chasing other than Nov 12th.

Good luck Mike, that boy will get better with experience. I'm debating on going to OHIO and hunt that first week of gun season with my new Savage 20 ga bolt action. I've got a WMA that I can drive to in about 1 1/2hr from home.
