Re: Thumbhole vs Traditional Stock

:) My M14 didn't have a thumbhole stock. None of my rifles or shotguns have thumbhole stocks. I choose the Exocet 200 because it doesn't have a thumbhole stock. If God wanted man to have thumbhole stocks Walnut trees would grow with thumbholes, without need to drill holes (and knot holes are not hol...

Re: I got one with my muzzleloader

Hey Longshot,

Nice shooting! Was that with a scoped inline that you used to shoot the deer? I'll sometimes hunt with my side lock muzzle loader but with open sights and these 66 year old eyes would make 100 yard shot my outside limit.

Now go get one with a crossbow!

Take care...

Re: Question about bow takedown

Check to make sure that the arrow channel on the riser and the channel on the rail line up. I don't know how but once putting my bow together after a break down I had a slight misalignment and it did give me fits until I found the issue. No threads got messed up. What I do now is to put a shaft on t...

Re: dry fire club inductee.........

The dry fire I had, in the ~14 months since getting the Exocet, was done on purpose. Yes, I simply wanted to join the elite DFC (Dry Fire Club) and couldn't wait for it to happen by accident. :)

Danny Miller sold me Angel and that's what I've been using last 2-3 reserves.

Re: Crazyfarmers last arrows....

Ever get into feather splicing? I've done some simple two color stuff but nothing like you see here. Lining the splice(s) up with the cresting seems to be a tradition. BTW, feathers with fletching tape works very well with arrow wraps. http://rmsgear.com/Images/ArrowSplices.JPG http://rmsgear.com/Im...

Re: different size vanes

That's some serious helical Bill. The one looks like a boat prop from the back. Nice! Yeah, been into traditional archery mostly for the past - ugh lets just say bunch of years. :) Bitzen jig has served me well, actually took some helical out to insure "cock/track" vane fit the rail track...
