I have had mine 3 years and have never taken the string off. Still shoots Point Of Aim. I know a lot of guys that do this, Even if you do remove the sting its no big deal to put on or off. So its up to you. Not so simple with a compound, you need a bow press.

I use 2215s with 100gr points or 2213s with 125gr points - almost the same total weight. :D Use inserts for nocks and don't get caught up in the excitement to spend $$$ for weighted inserts to increase FOC. I just got 15 used Easton 2213 Super Slam arrow shafts. from a guy who bought a new Vert. Bow. Do any of you use these, and how hard is it too get Nocks and weighted inserts?

I think thier is a Chemical in the Excal Stock, that once you touch it, you become part of the family, that you honor and protect, it seems to bring out the best in you. Its more than a crossbow, its a belief.

I have even gone so far as triming the top edge of the Blazes because of bottoming problem on the rail and it helped out 40yrds.
