Re: WBH survey results

Rancid suggests: The focus is on increasing the deer herd. Your learing a great deal about WI. This is a good thing. Actually Rancid, all I have learned by reading your comments on this forum and others is the WBH are elitist, divisive, and selfish. You haven't tought me or anyone anything about WI....

Re: WBH survey results

Doesn't matter. :D One tag = one deer. Whats the difference if a hunter in Wisconsin harvests a whitetail with a crossbow or a compound bow? :D   Do you have proof that the introduction of crossbows in Wisconsin will decrease the deer heard evan more? There is a lesson that is learned by l...

Re: WBH survey results

I too hunt with bullets and arrows. I understand the dynamics and limitations of both. I usually refrain from trying to compare the two. :D The hemorrhage does not happen unless I can get away with making the shot. Its the same for both my high let-off PSE compound, and my Excalibur Phoenix. My move...

Re: WBH survey results

Ron likes to edit his posts to suit his needs and take out stuff that he gets busted on...... We can completely agree on that. hunter skill and ability is where it's at. Not having to master the ability or hone the skill to draw a bow in close quarters to prey and not having to hold the draw weight...

Re: WBH survey results

I hunt with a recuvre crossbow and I own a compound crossbow for target shooting, along with two other recurve target crossbows. One is a 40lb and the other is a 90 lb. :D  My compound crossbow has a limited let-off of about 50%. I am still drawing well over 75 lbs. Its not adjustable, unlike m...

Actually Ron, you mentioned my avatar. As far as I can tell, its NOT a TAC 15. If I knew my little avatar was going to be an issue with you, I would have changed it. :D :) :( :o  :? 8)   :P :x       :?: :!: :|

Re: WBH survey results

...And how many crossbow hunters in Wisconsin use the TAC 15?? Since this is the Excalibur forum, lets use any excalibur as an example. Its a modern, mainstream crossbow that is widely used to harvest game all over the world. the TAC 15 is an extreme crossbow, that was designed for shock value.....n...

Re: WBH survey results

And the let-off on your fathers Horton is? I do know that with a bow, an archer in WI spots approaching game and has to time the draw so as not to give away his position. Every hunter has to time his or her movement so as not to give away their position. The first inch of draw is quite easy and ever...

Re: WBH survey results

Ron, you didn't answer my question. So, I will ask it again. Can you tell me how many pounds an archer has to pull when cocking a 175 lb crossbow? The question is pretty simple, but since you could not answer it the first go-round Lets assume the archer just uses the muscles the good lord gave him.....
