Re: Why I have the best Wife...

I am not good at attaching pics on here, but a good friend sent me a funny pic the other day. It was titled "eating healthier"! The pic showed a plate heaping full of bacon with a single leaf of lettuce on top of it! :)

Re: May TWINSTRIKE GIVEAWAY - Thumbs Down

 I guess having this give away at this time is designed to exclude Ontario ( Home of Excalibur ) and anyone acting responsibly to help reduce the risk of contracting or spreading Covid 19  Just image this event resulting in a News Making Headline as a Super Spreader Event. :eusa-naugh...

Re: E Bikes For Hunting

Let us know how you like it, at 78 yrs. 10 months, im looking to ride something, :eusa-think: Dave :eusa-popcorn: Nice! What did you buy? This: https://notawheelchair.com/ I'll use it all summer for getting around outside with the kids, going on trails, but I'll primarily use it for hunting. It's s...

Re: Kodabow is Done

That's unfortunate. The crossbow buyers have spoken and are buying narrow and fast bows. Unfortunately a solid bow like kodabow isn't enough to sell bows these days... They are an excellent bow and Chuck is a great up standing gentleman. I think he just got tired of the constant struggle in the cur...

Re: Turkey Gun pics

Nice looking gun Janesy. I am sorta diametrically opposite but appreciate them all. I use a Beretta 20 gauge O/U, 28 inch barrels, Factory full on top and modified on bottom. Does the job: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/47700245912_bd40aff952_k.jpg Congrats on the nice Tom! I've always thought...

Re: Turkey Gun pics

Winchester XR's seem to have a loyal following. I owned (gun raffle won one of them) 3.5" pump guns at one time, & I found 3" turkey loads patterned better for me, too! I sold my two 12 gauge 3.5" pump guns & put the funds towards a slightly used Browning Gold 10 several year...

Re: Turkey Gun pics

[/quote] I won't shoot candle sticks. I have never been able to get a good pattern out of them. 3" is fine. I only have a patternmaster choke in probore. But I have a bunch of LongBeard XR's and some heavy-13 to try. But most likely it will be XR's in #6. Seem to work in everything. Altho I alw...

Re: Turkey Gun pics

Just got the beast back from TacOrd. They gave it almost the full treatment, I did not go for loading port machining. It started out at Christmas as a stock Versamax Tactical, first step was to strip all the tact stuff off lol. 3.5" chamber 22" barrel. I also totally lucked out and found ...

Re: Ex Shox

I plan on ordering an extra string to have as a spare but you cannot get the string stars that came on my Kryptek Raid unless you order the complete sound deadening package. The string stars may not be that necessary. What do y'all think? bowjax.com sells a nice assortment of string stars. I have a...

Reading what others say about them in reviews - Some have mentioned adding zip ties to them, & having zero problems with them falling off afterwards.

I hope things continue to improve for your mother-in-law & good friend Tad!

Times like these remind us life is precious. My prayers & thoughts go out to both of them!

It's wonderful you are reaching out on their behalf, too. You're a great son-in-law & good friend!

God bless!

Re: Opening Day...

Used to think it was my decoys etc. But even with avians and the best setup that money will buy will not change a turkeys mind....you will never figure them out that's what's so cool. With a shotgun it's not as big a problem but a crossbow is a different story. I know and strive for the 5 yard kill...

Re: Opening Day...

Congrats on a nice Tom! I wish our Wisconsin 1st turkey season wasn't still a month away. Wisconsin has the 6 different seasons, & the first one doesn't start until April 21st. I wish they were all pushed up about 2 weeks. Some silly legislator or bureaucrat felt it was important the 6th season ...

Re: Bought something totally useless today

One of the most useful tools a man can own. Probably one of the most versatile tools also. Correctly loaded they can handle anything from a Dove to a Grizzly. And they make an excellent deterrent to nasty minded 2 legged critters who attempt to rob or steal, or worse. If I were limited to just one ...
