When hunting season comes around she always tries to adjust her schedule so I can go hunt!

Your wife is a definite keeper!

I hope you feel better soon. In the meantime, that crank will be a blessing!

Re: Love my wife

As some of you may have read in the ‘off topic’ thread that I’ve been suffering from a herniated disc. Well my beautiful wife of mine surprised me this morning. Woke up went downstairs and found a box in my name. Open it up and found something that would really help me a lot! She even got my xbow p...

Re: OT Free Turkey Targets

Very cool, thanks for the link. I've always printed the "buck snort" targets, these look just as good. I don't have a colour printer, or a computer for that matter. But I can print some at work and have a colouring contest with the kids haha. The free turkey targets are nice! I took that ...

Re: Lead fragments in venison

Biden is not all there mentally, & that does concern me. His mind changes with the wind. I have a hard time believing this man is calling the shots on much of anything. He'll say one thing to one group while saying the opposite to another. He being used as a puppet by the Democratic party & ...

Re: Twin Strike

Has anyone tried the new bow yet ? Just wondering? I held one in an archery shop a couple weeks ago, but I didn't try it out. The archery was quite busy, & I was just window shopping crossbows while my compound bow was being set up with new cables/string. If someone is interested a double-barre...

Re: Another crossbow sighting system

Yeah 30 decades, must be a hunting record   Not if your name is Noah who was said to have lived 950 years. :P I did fix my typo mistake in my original message by the way, but I am glad it's given everyone a good laugh. I turned 58 last week. I am no where near 950, nor is my name Noah...

Re: Eva Shockey

I don't know. Most people my age are not following her. She is older and more "commercial" than other bloggers, YouTubers and hunting figures. Teenagers can't hunt something or somewhere expensive like Ms. Shockey seems to represent on TV. There are some younger people and ladies that hun...

Re: AXE 340.... Very Pleased!

Funny, after reading all the other posts I am kind of opposite. I have a hard time cocking the M380 but I can cock my Mag340 with no problem. I am using the Dr. Stirrup 4X4 cocking rope adjusted to the right length for each. I don't need no stinking crank....lol I visited an archery shop last week....

Re: Eva Shockey

Nice! I like Jim Shockey’s hunting videos...he and his daughter do things right! I don't know much about Eva Shockey, but she's been associated with Bowtech in the past. Since Bowtech owns Excalibur, it not surprising to see her endorse Excalibur crossbows. " Eva Shockey Signature Series Bow –...

Re: Another crossbow sighting system

This is what I'm waiting for. Usable on firearms and crossbows https://www.planosynergy.com/2021-product-halxb0002/ The Omega Sight wouldn't be any different as far as that is concerned. The Omega sight can be attached to a compound bow, rifle/shotgun, or crossbow. If your style of hunting warrants...

Re: Another crossbow sighting system

When it comes to archery, I prefer simple. I shoot best with a single fixed vertical pin (not horizontal) used somewhat instinctively. If the deer is slightly farther than 30 yards, I start to aim slightly higher. I feel a vertical pin helps keep in me line (where I want to be on the animal). If an ...

Re: Looks like I'll be turkey hunting with shotgun this spring

Since I am not that confident calling in turkeys, I sometimes use my Browning Gold 10 (3.5" 10 gauge turkey loads along with an Indian Creek Black Diamond Strike choke). Some days I need all the help I can get!

I hope you have great hunts this spring!

Re: Looks like I'll be turkey hunting with shotgun this spring

I wish you the best of luck with this coming spring turkey season. Some days getting a turkey in range is tough regardless of what weapon you are using. I always say - The only thing predictable about turkeys is that they are unpredictable." Hope your treatments continue to go well, & you h...
