If any of you follow "Death by Bunjie", he has a lengthy discussion on Excalibur's new line up coming out January 6th. He's just speculating like everyone else.

Re: Which XBow?
Which type/grain of broadheads were giving you great results on three deer this past fall?

Re: New Xbow for 2021
I got an email from Excalibur today, & it said this - Coming Soon! Join us live on January 7th, @ 12 PM EST. We will be announcing our biggest jaw-dropper ever and it's guaranteed to impress. Mark it on your calendar. Take an early lunch. Do whatever you gotta do. You won't want to miss this one...

Re: Which XBow?
I don't have any experience owning a crossbow, but I've been researching them. I noticed Cabela's had the 308 on sale for $525. Since MSRP price is $850, that seemed like a good price to me? Sadly, they are also listed as "out of stock". Cabela's has been annoying that way. They list these...

Re: Upsetting Christmas Day
Putting down a loyal companion is really hard. Those of us that have done it can really relate. It sounds like your dog has had a wonderful life. Dogs hold a special place in our hearts. Sorry to hear your dog's final days have come.

Re: so last night and a hand gun close call
Sadly, deer hunting brings out the worst in some guys. I feel thankful to have some pretty nice neighbors surrounding my property, but that's not the case with some of my friends & relatives. I heard some pretty unpleasant stories over the years. Life's too short for grown men to fight over a de...

Re: Need help for daughter.
Since your daughter is a grown woman, I would consider the .243 Win (100 grains) & slightly up. 6.5 Creedmoor (140 grains) or .308 Winchester (150 grains), short action bolts, with a nice recoil pad would be my choice. A step up would be a .270 Win.(130 grains), but that would be a long action b...

Re: If you had to replace your crossbow...
I have a plan in place for checking out crossbows, & the owner of the archery shop has indicated his Excalibur crossbows should be restocked in a few weeks. Since he's sold out, I am just waiting to see what 2021 will bring, too. I currently used a 2013 G5 Prime Impact compound bow. Prime offer ...

Re: Need help for daughter.
Since I am still shopping for my first crossbow, I will leave that topic to the experts here. I shot my first buck with a 20 gauge Sears Ted Williams pump shotgun that my dad bought used for $55. I don't know if we were poor back then or what? The stock was even broken (glued & nailed back toget...

Re: If you had to replace your crossbow...
It will be interesting to see if the Bulldog 330 remains in the 2021 line up coming out soon, because it doesn't seem as available (on line) as some of the other models like the Mag 340. It may be hard to find a Mag 340 & Bulldog 330 at the same time to compare? I am just speculating. Looking at...

Re: If you had to replace your crossbow...
I appreciate everyone's replies to my original first post. If some of you return to this thread, the discussion has created a few questions. My initial interest was in the Mag 340, but I wouldn't rule out the Bulldog 330 that's in that same price range now. I also wouldn't rule out a classic from th...

This is the response I got - The 2021 product line will be release just before the new year Dawn Neill Pure Archery Group Customer Service/Warranty/ Accounts Receivable |Excalibur Crossbow ...

Re: If you had to replace your crossbow...
I appreciate the warm welcome to the forum & good suggestions so far. Thanks! I believe the 355 Suppressor is currently listed as the Micro Suppressor on line. I only know that, because I have been comparing models. The Micro Suppressor is rated @ 355 FPS (343 FPS w/ Sound Deadening System). Sam...

If you had to replace your crossbow...
If you lost your crossbow (stolen, house burnt/heaven forbid, wife sold it at her garage sale, etc...), what new crossbow would you buy to replace it & why? Even though I am not new to bowhunting (35 years), I am looking to buy my first crossbow soon. I am drawn to the simplicity of Excalibur cr...
