Target recommendation
I'll vote for the Morrell Xbow target.....as good if not better than the block and a lot less $$$$....All those "high priced" celebrity endorsers for the block are being paid by someone.....guess who??

Wasp 3 vane or 4 vane
Yea, I meant blade....had vanes on the brain....don't reckon it makes any difference in 3 or 4 blades if you put it in the right place. Thanks for the pics....

Does anyone know if there is any difference (other than price) between the Gold Tip brand and the Excalibur brand of the Laser II bolts?

vortex or exocet
I had the same choice to make.....sent the question to Excalibur with my height and weight....They recommended the Vortex as it's stock is 1" shorter and would be easier/quicker to shoulder. The thumbhole stock does give more stability and just looks cool.

Dry fire duffuss

They are available from "Ye Olde Archery Shoppe" for $47.99....I bought one today from a local Tennessee bow shop and paid more than that. According to the bow shop, they are next to impossible to find....Well made cast aluminum same color as Vortex rail. It seems Excalibur would sell thes...

New to Crossbow hunting
It did'nt take a couple of days for questions.....here's the first ones: 1. Does it matter if you use flat or half moon nocks? The ones in the pkg. are flat. 2. I assume I need to use the same bolts I will hunt with for sighting in and practice? Or will some less expensive version give the same resu...

New to Crossbow hunting
With the archery season 2 months longer than gun season in Tennessee, and being retired and having lots of hunting time now, I decided to give bow hunting a shot this year. After reading reviews and forums, this one included, I decided a crossbow was the way to go. Excalibur seemed to be the best of...
