Re: ungluing nocks
Saw a video that may help you. It involves a 1/8" steel rod longer than the arrow' Remove the arrow's tip and insert the rod through the insert to the backside of the nock, then tap with a hammer. Haven't tried it but it worked several times for the video maker. Mine are mostly aluminum and ret...

Re: Aging Deer Meat/ advice and tips
I don't age my (eater) deer at all. Skin em same day as killed, let em set up overnite, bone out, and package in vacuum seal bags. No longer cut the chops into individual servings, freeze them in serving sized portions and cut into chops if necc. The venison is great this way.

Firebolt has inside diameter of .297. Luminocks makes one that will fit it.

I'll give it a try. I'm a convert after making some wonderful 'veal' shanks and alos great barley vegetable soup out parts that most folks throw.

If you hunt with your kids you won't hunt for them later.

Re: loc-tite ?
Be safe and use PURPLE, or just a tad of blue. Most forks use too much and it makes it permanent after it sets up.

Re: shooting from an elevated position/tree stand
Once again. The arrow is affected by gravity over it's HORIZONTAL distance to the target! i.e. from the base of the tree your stand is on to the target. Height has no affect. In fact shooting low may not cause the arrow to pass through the vitals. Try to visualize where the arrow will exit -after go...

Re: Help With Accuracy
It could be the scope itself, loose reticule adjustment. Only way to test is a different scope. If so, say goodbye to it. If it's a Excalibur scope it's covered by warranty. I'm sure someone here has Danny Miller's phone # (Excal warranty dude).

Re: Strings
I make both Flemish and Endless Loop (not for sale). Much prefer the Flemish string for recurves like Excal. They are lighter (ergo faster) stronger and a tad quieter, all things being equal. The stock Flemish string by Danny is definitely a bargain but Boo makes them into a work of art. Check out h...

Re: Installing Scope Mounts
I use a scope leveler off the rail/action, same as I do when mounting rifle scope.
Plumb bob is fine assuming the bow is perfectly level.

Re: Serving on Flemish strings
Try reserving your string of changing ends and turn flat spot spot over if serving bottom has been worn flat by rail. Also check arrow retention spring pressure to make sure your arrow is laying flat. Chec arrow run-out too by rolling along flat surface (vanes past edge) to make sure arrow is straig...

What's up with that?
Can't post attachments of pictures. First get message that file is too large. After resizing, get message that 'Board has reached limit of attachments,' yet see others do post with pics. I only have only one image stored in my control panel. What gives? (BTW this board has most arcane picture postin...

I use both with no decerable difference. Helical works best on slower bows, like 300 fps and <.

Re: Tree stand gear pull up rope
There ya go. Super strong, won't rot. dries fast, olive drab color, use a match on the cut ends and because its nylon it melts so no unraveling. Great stuff Any rope will get chewed on by critters they like the salt left on the rope from our sweaty hands.[/quote] So true. Found that out the hard way...
