DJH, Sounds delicious!!! Woody, My first ever deer went down - a 276 lb 9 point buck - and as I was waiting the prescribed 30 minutes before following it, another doe came in from the left and I looked at it down the rail of the Exomag for a few minutes, before it thankfully left. No need for anothe...

Steelworker, Of the deer I have taken with my exomag, about 90% were from the ground. Only recently have I started using a tree stand, and I am not all that comfortable being off the ground. Usually I take one of those small folding lawn chairs that sit close to the ground into the bush and just set...

remember that huge Dryden buck? Here it is in the news again
Came across this on the www.acoa.ca website today. It looks like that huge Dryden buck that made headlines last year. Take a look at the photo there and see what you think. up to six additional tags in some parts of Ontario
Here is a link to the MNR's site for info regarding additional tags for certain areas. What a blast!!! There are multiple extra antlerless tags for many areas, including up to 6 (six) for parts of Ontario. And most areas have at least two extra tags available. Let's hope the phone lines are built to...

Chris, Our neighbours across the street had that problem a few years ago. The birds would arrive in their backyard trees by the thousands around sunset and set up for the night. They tried everything to get rid of them. Finally they got a small battery operated tape player that played a tape of a ha...

Hunt? If hunting means deer hunting, I would get mighty fidgity and do something else for a while. But if you mean hunting for stuff, then I'm ready to go any time. Yep, Many years ago I was about 20, hunting deer with my dad. This was before I had ever shot a deer and was under his close tutilage. We came up to a small clump of cedars and I bent down to see the sillouette of a deer, nose to the ground, walking back and forth in the darkened area under the foli...
