wow. Both amazing trophy's. Your hard pressed here in Ontario to come up with a better one than that Durham monster. Great mass and width. Good body size. Congratulations to both hunters !

I have bow hunted on a beef farm years ago, and walked through the barn yard on the way to the bush. Had to walk through cow manure and found that the scent of the manure was something these deer were use to. When I hunted there, I stopped using a store bought cover spray and stopped wiping it off t...

Matt: Although mine is not a new one, my absolute favourite rifle is a Winchester model 70 featherweight ( laminated) in .270 win caliber. I've owned Browning, Berretta and Remington's. All fine rifles, but the rifle I love is my model 70. Flawless operation. smooth trigger pull, and most importantl...

I have family in the Midhurst area and a couple do hunt the area. Usually do very well. Some big farmland bucks in the area. I have been told not as many deer as in recent years ( last year's hard winter?) but still very good hunting.
Good luck...

I'm a hunter first and foremost. This is my 33rd year hunting. In that time, yes I've killed a lot of deer however it's the experience of hunting and drawing me back to my roots so to speak that I so desperately need. My father started me out hunting and because of this common link, has created a ve...

deerman, yes definately have the bear tags ready to go. That is actually a sow. She walked through the trail cam and had a cub with her on the next couple of photos. I was after a good size boar ( 350lbs + -) last week with the xbow, but the closest I got was 65 yards and way to far to launch a bolt...

Fyi : We've shot does in the past here in eastern Ontarion in mid November that still were nursing... We've really stopped with the does that past few years to concentrate mainly on good sized bucks and the deer population has really multiplied... I'm of the firm belief on a couple of things ~ If yo...

Here in my part of eastern Ontario, it is 99.8 per litre. It's still a sad day in Canada when we all get excited that gas is that "low", however considering that mid September it was $1.38 per litre it certainly helps the wallet when filling my F150. August / September it would cost $150.0...

Thanks, I've had a couple "run ins" with the odd bear and so far it's MPSNIPER 2, bears 0. The best one was a couple of years ago I had a sow bluff charge me with about a 1+ cub. All I had was a hatchet and a bit of attitude. She backed down after popping her teeth and hissing. Didn't real...
