Re: O/T Snow Camo

I've been looking at the Rocky Reversible camo suit, normal wood camo on the one side white camo on the other.

Re: Lattice...

OK, I'm about to get myself in big trouble... Why brush it in? Yep, it looks nice to me but do the game really care? It looks like a permanent blind and maybe even an elevated one, won't the game just get used to it even if it were painted blaze orange? Thanks My emphasis is around the shooting win...

Lattice...

makes brushing in a ground blind easy. Never used it before, had a brain fart and went with it. No staples or twine, just woven. It looks like it's going to do just what I wanted. I only bought one sheet to see if it was going to work so it doesn't cover the entire outside, but I think I can manage ...

Congrats on your deer!

Secondly, if you can send email from your phone, just email yourself the pictures. That's what I do when I can't find my cable. ;)

Re: Handmade Knife Sheath

Come to think of it I have a nice little Schrade Old Timer skinning knife that I found when I was out hunting one time. I was not in a sheath, probably fell out of it and the hunter never noticed. Might have to look into making one myself for this knife. Sounds like a good winter project to pass so...

Re: Handmade Knife Sheath

Thanks everyone, I had a blast making it. I'm going to try and learn a bit more about the craft, it might be something to do over the winter besides tie flies!

Re: A very special hunt

Have to love a day with so many firsts. I still remember my first experiences hunting and fishing. She's right, neither of you will forget that. My daughter is 3 and a half and my son 9 mos so I have a ways to go yet before I can take them hunting, but I picture it every day. Way to go, and congrats...

Handmade Knife Sheath

Last year, with the input gathered from a thread on "Knives" I purchased a Forschner Fibrox knife (thanks Griz), what a wonderful knife!! I like it so much I want to carry it, but it didn't come with a sheath, so I made one. I have never worked with leather in my life. (with the exception ...

Must be all over, most acorns I've seen in Nova Scotia in as long as I can remember.
