The same people who are trying to shoot with a rifle at 500 yds are the same class of people who would try to shoot with a crossbow at 50. Tye said it well. The bragging rights come from how close you can get them, not how far away.

new broadheads
Thanks for the input.
Maybe I'll get out and shoot them this weekend and then I'll tell you what I think.

still like them?
dw, I was wondering if you developed any more opinions on these broadheads. I saw them at my local WalMart here in SC and on the mention you made went ahead a bought me a 3-pack. I haven't had a chance to shoot them yet, and was wondering if you still like yours. The last couple of years I've used S...

Tinks 69
I've had some excellent results with Tinks 69 thru the years. I could probably identify 7-8 bucks that I have taken that were coming in on a string straight for the Tinks 69. Obviously there were others that may or may not been drawn in by it, and there were definitely others that showed no interest...

Moultrie digital trail cam
I've been watching these (at least I assume its the same model) on Ebay for the last 6 months. Haven't bought one yet cause I was waiting to hear some first hand reviews of how they work. Let us know what you think, and could I ask where you read your 'good and bad things' about it? Also, on Ebay th...

bj
I don't post a lot on here. I like to absorb the advice and knowledge I find here, but there's not many topics that I feel compelled enough about to take the time to put my .02 in. But bj is one of them. A couple of years ago I came on here trying to find a good deal (used) on an Exocet. To make it ...

FWIW, I've always cut up my own deer, and have done well over 100 by now. I grew up in PA but moved to SC after college. Down here in the south its a lot more important and also a lot harder to take proper care of the meat after the deer is harvested. When I read WAB's starting post, my first though...

How many use a sling?
I was thinking of ordering a sling from bj, to see if it would have any advantages for when I am out hunting. I thought I would ask some of you that may have experience with one on your excalibur. I am asking this from a hunter's perspective, not a target shooter.
Thanks,
Tim
