Holding arrows in backpak

Any ideas on a very compact/lightweight solution to holding arrows in my pack? I don't like to leave the quiver on my bow but dont like the room it takes up in the pack. Looking for something compact and light that would protect fletching. Thanks for any ideas.

Re: Trailblazer 150

My experience with the 150 trailblazer. I hit forward on a doe at 30 yards broadside and caught shoulder, got about 6 inches penetration. Arrow broke and lost deer ( called tracker dog, we found bed but tracker believes deer will live ). Next day switched back to swhacker, another doe came to same e...

Dr stirrup 4 x 4 cocker

Does anyone use this and if so does it reduce cocking effort over the excalibur cocking rope?

Re: Charger Crank

Sorry if I hit a nerve, I'm honestly just trying to figure out what I'm missing here (maybe I do lack common sense). My procedure is to put stringing aid on limbs, then attach charger crank hooks to the aid, finally I crank the aid back until it goes past the adf and is secured by the trigger latch....

Re: Charger Crank

I've used my charger ext crank to change strings twice and brace height 5 times. I cant find instructions anywhere that says not to use it on a stringing aid. I have found it works best if I move the plastic sleeve to the side and place the hooks on the string portion of the aid. Why do you suggest ...

Re: New string sighting in

UPDATE: replaced string last night, woke up this am and gave it 1 twist to line it up with brace height mark. 3 shots, 3 bullseyes. Like yinz said, no change in poi. Thanks for all the input.

Re: Waiting for tiny sparks of the rut to start

No rut sign in western pennsyltucky last week either. Did have a bobcat 10 feet from me in my ground blind (if I figure out the photo upload I'll post it) also had a mature bald eagle fly 20 yards from my "river stand". Not many deer but what a great few days in the woods.

New string sighting in

I have 2 Flemish strings made by same person and bought as a pair. My 335 has a permanent brace height mark. I plan on switching string to get other one reserved. I will obviously be sighting back in with the new string, was just wondering how far out of aim will it be ( will help me determine where...

Re: Decock or shoot after hunt

1 more little piece of info. I have the ext charger crank, so there's definitely not a hint of fear involved.

Re: Bow hanger for your cross bow in treestand

Bonus points if there's one that doesn't screw into trees ( an enforced no no on PA public lands )

Re: Decock or shoot after hunt

Thanks for all the input. Tomorrow morning's plan is to decock into a deer with a 150 grain trailblazer. If all goes well I will update the trailblazer's performance ( they certainly are as accurate as my field points as are my swhackers, hopefully I'll have a damage report).

Re: Decock or shoot after hunt

Should have added specifics. I hunt my own land and walk to my spots from my cabin. I have a target in the yard and leave a field point arrow in it. I guess my question is is it bad to fire the bow, or does decocking extend the life of said bow?
