excaliburs on ebay
Fellas, watch out for good old scoobydooby! I have had some experience in dealing with this guy,and first of all,he will not ship to Canada, and then, when I made arrangements through some friends in PA to buy me one of his "deals",he could not ship it to them within a three week period,so I ...

I just did a further search, and if you go to www.gunnutz.com,you can find dealers who will sell Internationally. Also checked the Canada Firearms site, and,if you have a PAL that allows you to buy a similar gun in Canada, then you are off to the races! There is a SPAM! in Nova Scotia that handles Inte...

A quick Internet search will tell you that they sell them at Walmarts in the US,amongst other places. I do not know what the regs are,as far as bringing such an item through the border, but, assuming that you have your PAL,why not check with the Canada Firearms center? They should be able to tell you ...

Update on Virginia crossbowing
That's great news Woody! Nice to see that the march continues! When can we expect to hear the same news about Pennsylvania? I have been hunting down there for 28 years, and they always seem to be behind the progress being made in the more progressive states about a level playing field for crossbow hu...

STRING LEECHES.
Have any of you guys ever used the Limb Saver Ultra sound dampening buttons that fit on the limbs of the crossbow? Sims Laboratories claim that they reduce the sound level by 20 decibels, which is a BIG number in sound dissipation. They also sell a rubber leech, for the string, and I will be trying all...

STUBBY ARROWS
Digger, that's awful close, except the vanes(that were blades),were about half the length in your diagram, and looked just like a regular fixed blade, tapered right out to the end, just like today's blades.
The head is the same.

I did not save it,so the only way I may be able to find it again would be to go through my history files.
If I find it,I will post it later.

STUBBY ARROWS
Just happened to be looking around at various archery sites last night, and came across an arrow(bolt) that was about six inches long, and the cutting blades were the fletching on the bolt. The front looked like it was a sharpened field point Has anyone ever experimented with this concept? If it would...

TURKEY THUMPER BROADHEADS
Someone posted a while back asking about what broadhead to use for turkeys. I just happened to spot an ebay item that is five Muzzy Turkey Thumper Broadheads, closing in about 7 hours. The item number is 7128331671. Right now, they are sitting at quite an attractive price, but who knows where it will e...

Practice shoting from height
Guys,I didn't want it to sound too technical, but the fact of the matter is,when your are shooting downhill, your bolt will drop less than when you are shooting horizontal. Gary L has it right, practice, practice, practice! I have an indoor target, set up at 10 yards, and my scope is set for 35 yards. With...

Practice shooting from height
I have never shot a crossbow DOWN at an an animal, but would have thought that you would have to allow for LESS drop than a horizontal shot. That is the way I compensate for drop with a rifle,on a downhill shot, and would assume that it works that way for either a bow,or a rifle. In simple terms,if yo...

Try the same place as you would for borax, the grocery store, under plumbing/cleaning solutions.
May also be at Home Depot,in the same general area as above.

Finding Borax
A small correction to Comfy Bear's last posting-Sodium nitrate is saltpeter, and sodium chloride is table salt. The sodium nitrate is one of the ingredients used by the meat industry to pickle hams, etc. Both will do the job, except straight salt will leave the hide very stiff, unless you process it as ...
