I have an older set of Cobra's, they work well for me but dont work well over a km which is less than a mile. I only go 1/2 km from the house though.

That is a warm day up here I havent had any bucks on my camera either. The big boys tracks are all around my spot but he wont walk in front of that camera, too smart I guess.

Sounds like you had a good time and that right one will be bigger next time. I couldnt imagine letting some pass by, I need meat and my sightings arent high enough. There is a decent population here but not enough in the woods I hunt to see then all the time.
