40 yard group after XBOW repairs

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g116/bowmuzhntr/40yd.jpg I had to send my Exocet to Dan Miller for new limbs after my recent string problem (apparently there are some Excel strings that are out of specs and cause the string to pop off causing my limb tips to chip. I recieved exceptional service f...

CF, I made it up there today, talking to Bill, Kath and Peter was the highlight of the show. They were very friendly and informative. It's a nice to see a company that actually puts that much time into their customers. I spoke to Bill/Peter about the string problem I had and they alls they were conc...

Pregnant doe???

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g116/bowmuzhntr/doe.jpg Sorry about the quality of the picture, but it was late and getting dark. I drove throught the Yorktown VA Battlefields tonight to look at deer. I must have seen 75-100 adult does. The odd thing was I seen less than 10 percent of them with f...

Lumenok pic

Image

Here's a picture of my new lumenok in a Goldtip II. Can't wait to shot them out of the Exocet. They'll look even better centerpunching the chest of that big buck come bow season.

The right stuff package comes with Gold Tip II's (carbon) that shoot just fine. For broadheads, I shoot Thunderhead 100's. They require a slight adjustment up and left though. Alot of guys speak highly of the Montec's and Slicktricks, they require no readjustment from the fieldpoints. I'm partial to...

It may be that your crosshairs are tweeked a little counterclockwise, make sure your vertical crosshair is perfectly straight up and down.

$8 for the mount, $4 shipping/handling= $12. I just ordered mine a few weeks ago. No interference with the scope.

As already stated twice, just buy the Excalibur Right Stuff package. I tried converting all my stuff over from my Parker Xbow and have since gone with original Excalibur parts.

Speaking of difference, I was at Bass Pro yesterday and weighted the GT II's, the six arrows ranged from 263-275 grains. How much of a difference does 12 grains make as far as accuracy goes out to 40 yards.

Thanks Rich

Crazyfarmer,

I didn't heat the bolt, only the field point and pulled like hell. Maybe I heated it for to long, but that thing took every bit of muscle I had. I'll try heating the tip and then screwing it in. I had to waste another bolt though if it doesn't work.

Crazyfarmer,

The 250 grain shockwaves were devastating on all deer shot last year and very accurate. I also like a 300 grain bullet, I have a new Omega I haven't shot yet but will be using 300 grain shockwaves with it.

Removing Gold Tip nocks

I cannot get the nocks out of my GT II's, I tried screwing a field tip into the nock and heating it up. I was finally able to pull it out with a lot of effort, however the end of the bolt was warped. Any other suggestions before I warp all my bolts or give myself a hernia.

I just ordered a 3 pack from lumenok: http://www.lumenok.net/index.htm The cost was $25 for 3. My buddy shoots them out of his vert bow and they are awesome. No magnet require for these to operated, they turn on wth the momentum of the shot. They told me you had to order flat nock xbow lumenoks for ...

TScott, I also had a Parker last year, killed 2 deer the first 2 days of bow season and it splintered a limb the 3rd day. I upgraded to an Excal and couldn't be more pleased. Parker did try to make things right, I just wasn't willing to gamble once they admitted they were having a limb problem. Rich
