That's the only way I'd have it. When you're out in the field pretty doesn't count for much (at least for me).

I did the same and eventually got the following response.
You are correct. This is a carved tip limb bow with 175 lb draw. There is a mistake in the description.

Vixen Lite 1, rabbit 0

I walked outside this evening after dinner to find a rabbit chewing away on the flowers in my wife's flower bed. I got out my trusty Vixen Lite and let him have it with a judo point. I was aiming for a head shot but it moved a bit just as I released the trigger and it ended up gut shot. The arrow we...

I own a Vixen and Maxpoint and have shot a Horton Legend. The Horton was not a bad bow but the trigger and overall feel of the Horton was not up to the quality of the Excalibur bows. Plus the Horton is a compound bow, a disadvantage for changing strings in the field over an Excalibur recurve. Also I...

I have both compound (Maxpoint) and recurve (Vixen). I like the recurves better because you can change the string in a couple seconds. To change the cable and/or string on a compound you either have to take it to the shop or have your own bow press. Even if you do it yourself it is time consuming, a...

To the guys who bought the "maxpoints"..................HAVE FUN! Be prepared to be blown away...... Maybe so. But the Maxpoint is all the crossbow you'll ever need for anything on this planet that you'd ever want to shoot with a crossbow. And show me another bow that's "3 bows in on...

I think the recurve limbs should be longer than the compound limbs and when strung the stroke should be shorter using recurve limbs. Correct me if I am wrong. Recurve limbs are wider than compound limbs, but compound limbs are considerably longer (because of the wheels and cable assembly) than recu...

These bows are really 3 bows in 1. Keep the compound limbs for a very powerful bow. Or bolt on standard limbs and you have an Exomag (185 pound draw wt version I believe). Or bolt on light limbs and you have an Exomag Light (about 150 pounds draw wt, same as the Vixen).

The black Vixens came out in 2001. They came out just before I purchased my Vixen in late June 2001. I wanted a black one (new style) but got one of the older style instead. I was a bit disappointed at first but have no regrets now, it has been a great bow.

Look at the distance between the trigger and release mechanism. Must be a bull pup design. No way can this trigger compare to the Excalibur bows.
