Re: The Texas Hog Blocker
I have used tanglefoot for years (learned about it from my dad and his fruit trees) I have adapted its use for coons and squirrels that like to eat deer feed. My main use for it is to trap deer flies during their season when mowing my fields. I mount a grade stake on my tractor then staple a “royal ...

Re: OT: BC Extends Wolf Cull
Can anyone buy wolf tags for people that want to hunt them? That would be fun…oh yeah…”environmental people” can go jump in the lake!

Re: Can bears get so big they can no longer climb trees?
I have a huge boar that comes around in Spring and dominates or destroys the ground feeders that I have out for deer (Along with assorted smaller bears) last year I put up a hanging feeder on steel cable between two big pine trees. He could not climb either tree and the videos of him trying to figur...

Re: Smoke
When in my ground blind (if I have the Buddy heater going) I find a piece of dry wood from the ground litter and place it in the grill of the heater…smells like a wood stove to me but I have no idea if it spooks the deer because I never see any!

Re: 2022 Hunting season
I need to pick a better spot for my ladder stand and ground blind…trouble is in the small area I hunt the wind usually comes from the wrong direction. I’m not a tree climber at 72 so some changes and some heavy brushing in is needed…that and scent mitigation. The peak rut is my best chance at a nice...

Haha! Looks like a good deal for breakfast!
I’ve been “cheated” out of all the “deals” all my life as I cannot, for the life of me, stomach and egg of any variety! I have to get all the side orders “ala carte” so breakfast is no bargain for me.

Good idea! I am the master fidgeted…it’s why I love the ground blind…most fidgeting is unseen
Now…to put the blind in the perfect spot…that’s the trick!

Wife and I don’t usually exchange gifts…this year I treated us both to manicure and pedicures…at 72 I’ve never indulged in one or the other…figured it was time to make my big ol ugly size 14s a little less ugly. Sitting in the massage chair for an hour and was worth the cost alone! We both buy what...
