Bob

Your post got me thinking a bit more about that product. Who makes it? What is the normal retail?

Thanks.

The Series II has a larger cutting diameter. They make a big hole and an excellent exit wound making for a good blood trail. Here is what I use to sharpen my heads. It is completely adjustable to match almost any type of hunting head. With a little practice you can get the blades much sharper than ...

Some of the guys here probably don't agree with me on this, but here's my $.02. For the cheapest and most effective noise reduction, I suggest you wear ear plugs. :D :D Here's why: the speed of your bolt is LESS than the speed of sound, so you won't gain much by a PARTIAL sound reduction. The deer i...

Heck, Particle, when I'm sitting in my tree stand just waiting and relaxing, I think about the good times fishing. So, just to be fair, when I'm trolling and nothing is biting, I think about hunting. In fact, I put my hunting clothes in a loose weave bag and drag it behind the boat. No more soap sme...

Avoiding unnecessary string wear and wear on bolts, and increased bolt speed is a worthwhile goal. It depends on what the cost is for the amount of gain received. Noise reduction, however, is more like a "cosmetic" issue. Unless you are able to make your bow actually SOUNDLESS, the game an...

Herbinator Your question was NOT stupid. I wasn't sure what you were exactly getting at, which is why I presented my response. Also, I was hoping a more knowledgeable poster than me would answer the question about bolt flight. So, here goes...... 1) In pouring rain, does the bolt fly differently? 2)...

What exactly are you asking?

Are you concerned that moisture will damage the mechanism,ie, the trigger?

Or are you asking whether rain will affect the bolt flight?

Heck, I just taped a cheap little lazer level to the riser and confirmed that the cross hairs pointed close to the red dot. Then I shot at about 5 yards, just to be sure that I was going to be on the target butt. After fine tuning at close range, I started backing up. The level was a discount variet...

[quote="Woodsman"]I guess that's it in a nutshell. Vote for the conservatives and divide up the country (the present conservatives leading the party are nothing more than redneck reformers in disguise - separatists of the west) or vote for the corrupt liberals and continue to get "und...

Your photo looks like a solid spine hit. Might the killing damage to the spine have been caused by the tip of the head? If so, the deer would have been just as dead from either arrow. In fact, maybe the new design would allow BETTER penetration because the cutting edge would fold back until it was c...

Gentlemen

I suggest a visit to the manufacturer's website. That'll answer most of your questions. They also show a photo of a wild boar that had an arrow using one of these heads make a complete pass through notwithstanding it had to go through the shoulder plate. Looks impressive.

That might just be the slickest thing along since the idea of putting wheels on a bow or using that new fangled stuff, carbon composite, for making arrows. I've never seen one, much less shot one, but I would expect that the friction resistance would be reduced in passing through an animal. Planing ...

Guys The enforcement of the firearms registry has been left up to the Federal Gov't by most of the provinces. That's why Conservation Officers, who are provincial law enforcers, in most provinces have no interest in whether or not a gun is registered. However, when the RCMP officers who are enforcin...
