FS Discount Archery - My personal experience.

I ordered from them 12 GT L2s, Wasp Boss 100s and 100gr Field Points. After 2 weeks of waiting I received my package and the order was all messed up. I got a package of Wasp Boss BULLETS and Field Points of 145 gr. I looked at the vanes and they were seemingly placed haphazardly on some of the bolts...

Digger:

How do you measure the power stroke or the deck length to see if it is 15" or 15.5"?

Also mine has a machined riser, mag-tip limbs and FF string. It shoots GT L2s at 300 fps (chronographed) and has the safety on the back. Could it be a 165 modified or a 175? Thanks. Wayne

Bow Life:

I am not sure about that. I had my bow chronographed and it was shooting L IIs at 300 fps. with 100 gr. FP and I know the 165 was "advertised" at 270 fps at best.

Are you sure they are called Firebolts? I have Googled and checked the Easton web site and there is absolutely no indication that they exist. There is plenty of information about Powerbolts by Easton on the 2 abovementioned sites. :?

Digger:

I have the same Exocet you show in picture 5 - same camo pattern but without the crank. Can you tell me about how old that crossbow is and when it was made? Also, is it the same as the Exocet200? If not, what is the difference. Thanks, Wayne

Thanks for all the responses. I just read in another thread that some of you use Silicone Spray lube on the rail and bolts. I will try that.

What's that smell - something burning?

I shoot an exocet and notice the smell of something burning in the air after the shot. I know the bolts are fast but not "smokin'". Don't notice it all the time. I keep the string well waxed. Any ideas?

Exocet replacement limbs

Anybody know where and about how much a new set of limbs would be for an Exocet crossbow would be? The model is a couple years old and says Exocet (not Exocet200) on the side. It also has a different camo pattern on it than the new Hardwoods but does have the Mag-tip limbs on it. Nothing wrong with ...

http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff24/aerostarp/PheasantHunt4-06P4080264-1.jpg I got it now. Use the Image Code (copy and paste) from Photobucket (last address box) but since it already has the pre- and post- IMG HTML code in it don't use the one above in the toolbar. That's me on the rig...

Damn: I typed out the entire chart I made up and when I went to review it it was all jumbled together. When I hit the back button it all dissappeared  I will try it again more in a narrative. (1) A 12' treestand with a Rangefinder value (RV) of 15 yds. will have an actual horizontal range (HR)...
