That 110 grn insert will make up for the light heads, as long as you keep 10-12% FOC. I prefer broadheads with 1 1/8-1 1/4 cutting diameters. Two inch cuts increase friction and eat energy up bigtime.

With my compound bow, while shooting 3-D archery, I encountered a target once at 5 yards. Holding low wouldn't have worked. I used my forty yard pin! Shot the twelve ring, too. At that distance you can use all of your pins! Found that out on a boar hunt.

I use a red dot sight for gator hunting at night, but prefer a scope like the Max Zone or Vari-Zone.

Congrats! Welcome to the forum! We are waking up to our 12th day of the GA archery season. It's been close to 100 degrees for the last few days. I've only hunted two mornings... nothing but squirrels.

All of the gear is from Muzzy, except the floats. I had those already. I went with a Red Dot sight on Mark Land's recommendation. He's the guru of all things bowfishing, gator hunting, and all their products.
