Re: Doe Got Too Close To the Axiom
I have found over the years that does are naturally curious creatures. I don't know how many times I have been in the woods cutting firewood with a chain saw and looked up to see does and yearlings standing 20 or so yards away watching me. I was on stand one morning and had two does walk into a fiel...

Re: apology
Bob I congratulate you on taking your bear. That is no small feat. You are welcome to post here anytime, but you have to admit that your post came off as sounding like you were promoting the item not your hunt. In the future keep the promoting to the trading post area and I think you will find that ...

Re: Broadhead Recommendations?
Ok, I'll be the odd one, 100 grain Trophy Ridge 2 blade MeetSeekers. I had a post on here a couple of weeks ago that showed some of the holes they made. I have shot 4 so far this season and only one managed to run about 30 yards. The other 3 dropped where they were standing with threw and thre...

I hope that all that is close to being behind you now Scott. I know that you are ready to get out in the woods and stick something. I know that you deserve some R&R time for sure. As far as the broadheads go I love my Meat Seekers, they have done real well for me this year. I have killed 4 so fa...

Re: Show us your spots!
39 acres of rural heaven inside the city limits and it is across the road from my house. Walk in and drag out. No one else has permission to hunt it. The property owner told me he wanted all the deer off his property to make plenty of room for his turkey he feeds. :D http://i154.photobucket.co...

Re: Going without.........
I went today and scouted a location that I had killed several at before in the past seasons and was suprised to see how much it had grown up with saplings. I finished making a ground blind and got to thinking about how thick it was and having a scope on my Phoenix. I was worried that I might not see...

Look what I found
Got into my treestand Saturday morning waiting on something to come by when I looked down at a cedar tree 10 yards from my stand. As it was starting to get light the first thing I noticed was the fresh cedar shavings on the ground. :) Then after getting down to go home I went over and looked...

Re: shooting off hand
When you first switch over it's like taking a shower in a rain suit; it just don't feel right. It wasn't really that hard for me. I am right handed but I'm left eyed dominate. I write right handed but shoot a rifle, shotgun and crossbow left handed. I shoot a handgun right handed but can shoot...

Re: One... How much accuracy should I expect?
I may be totally off base here and if I am I’m sorry, but shooting groups with a crossbow is just not what it was designed for. The primary purpose of our crossbows is as a hunting tool. The first shot that you take will more than likely be the only shot you get. It’s great to be able to say that I ...
