Congratulations on your kill. It might not be PC to some folks but IMHO it is not unethical.

Re: different size vanes
I beg to differ, not an easy question. Length, height, shape , texture, offset/helical, placement (distance from the nock) and I'm sure a couple of other things I've not now thought of come into play. Generally speaking the more 'steering' the fletching is giving to the arrow the slower the arrow wi...

Good for you! About how much meat (pounds) do you get from a cow that size.
Another vote for more of the story behind the hunt.
Thanks...

Re: Making Your Crossbow Rail Friction-Free
The "final solution" would be to design the CB so that the string does not touch the deck. The rail groove would off course have to be a bit narrower so that the arrow rode a bit higher. It think that it has already been done, at least with compounds. I believe it was a Parker model that I...

Re: Hope the choice is right
Got my Exocet 200 August of 2009 (65th BD present to myself) and a button buck with it last October. Deer spun towards me just as the shot went off and as a result my ~410 grain arrow, with 100 grain 3 blade Muzzy, doing ~305 fps went through the deer mostly length wise. Arrow came out the deer's ru...

Re: Phoenix Slow Mo
Welcome to the forum! That was a really neat video, thanks. So, are you folks in the UK able to hunt with your CBs? I think I've seen videos on Youtube of UK folks hunting squirrels, small birds and such with their air rifles and was wondering if you could do the same with your Phoenix. Take care...

Re: Recoil Pad Question???
Nothing like my Ruger .44 mag or my PA Hunter .50 caliber sidelock or even my .380 Kel-Tec but I defiantly feel a bit recoil from my Exocet 200. Has anyone installed a recoil pad on their excal? I was thinking of installing one. I really don't have all that much meat on my bone's and I thought that ...
