Re: Treestand safety line
What do the folks with climbing treestands use. I can see this type working on a tree that you use more than once, but it would still require climbing at least once without the lifeline. The draw for me last year to get a climber was to be able to move around, but they are much more dangerous and I...

Re: Hunter Orange, camo or not...
There is no requirement to wear orange in AB, under any hunting situation. So I do not wear it and neither does anybody else I know.......or see in the bush. I don't believe in it either. In low/no light it is not effective (poachers don't need any light  ). At close range, as in archery, it...

Re: Scope Rings, Is There a Difference?
The type of rings you use on a crossbow doesn't really matter as long as they're not from the dollar store. Those who're rough on their gear or want something that looks nicer might want to opt for higher quality rings, but for the majority of people any ring from decent manufacturers will suffice. ...

Re: FPS, Does This Sound Right?
I just ran your numbers on a ballistics calculator and with your current setup the numbers are as follows: 20 yards: -9", 67 ft/lbs 30 yards: -22", 66 ft/lbs 40 yards: -39", 64 ft/lbs If you were to switch to a 350 grain arrow, which should bump you up to 305 fps: 20 yards: -7", ...

Re: Pebbled Limb on Micro 4 Pic's
I just checked our failure rates again on the Micro limbs and we are still well below 1% failures compared to our sales of this model. The problem is it seems we hear about all the issues through social media so it makes it look like the sky is falling. This puts huge doubt in peoples minds when it...

Re: interested in feedback re:cold weather gear
By far the best thing anyone can do for cold weather is to wear some premium undergarments (under armor, dri wear, etc) that wick moisture as well as retain body heat. You'll be extremely surprised by how effective these products are how much better your existing clothing will perform and I'd sugges...

Best Price on a 405?
It seems like every store I check has a price of $1299 CAD for the 405 package. Does anyone sell these at a lower price or is that pretty much it no matter where you look?

Re: UPS. $75 to ship my Micro back
It cost me $42 AUD to send my limbs back to Canada. Half way around the world!!!! In the last month I have made 3 separate orders on Amazon with the items coming from China and shipping has been completely free, even on the $9 order that was the size of a box of work boots. It really makes you wond...

Re: What Yardage Do You Zero At?
Using my Exomax with a Lumizone scope shooting Firebolts and 100 gr heads, I zero at 20 yards which puts each chevron bang on from 10 - 50 yards. If I strictly hunted deer with the bow I would likely use a scope with normal crosshairs and zero at 30 yards as being off an inch or two isn't a big deal...

Re: off spring crossbow ?
With the limited information I just read in the last 5 minutes it appears this bow is nothing more than the stock from one bolted to the riser of another.
What makes it so exciting? Am I missing something?

Don't know when the regular rut is in your neck of the woods but around here does that don't get bread the first time around come in again a month or so later. :?: :!: I start seeing rubs in October and the rut is mid November around these parts which is why a fresh rub in late January seemed very ...

Buck's Still Rubbing???
I went coyote and crow hunting on Sunday to test out my new electronic call (ICOtec GC-500) at a few public properties and am glad the deer have all returned to their normal haunts and activities now that the season has been over for a month. While walking some heavy trails towards bedding area's lo...

Re: When to Buy a New Bow?
Thanks for the wide variety of responses. I've had my Exomax for around 8 years so I am definitely not someone who needs to have the newest and best thing out there just for bragging rights. If I were I would have a 405 already. I like to get the best bang for my buck and resale is one important fac...
