Took a nice turkey with it in May.
Shot a nice doe in October.
Capped the year off by harvesting a beautiful 8-point buck late December.
This was all done with my Exomag.

Guys, I talked with some people who are part of that Lanark farmer group that kill deer illegally to lower populations. They have had many organized hunts all summer kill deer. Probably skiddish because they have been shot at all summer long! Too bad most of these deer are left to rot! :x That prob...

I hunt private land that a buddy of mine let's me hunt just south of Smiths Falls. When the Lanark Landowners were up in arms last summer in regards to the crop damage the deer were causing I placed an ad in the local newspaper seeking permission from them to help with the problem by hunting their l...

Yes, i too noticed how alert the deer are in Lanark. Saturday evening I took a stand overlooking a small field with a couple of apple trees. A doe and fawn came out about 100 yards away. The doe was constantly looking around and not relaxed at all. This went on for about 20 minutes until they dissap...

 Well it finally happened. Up in the tree stand with my 12 year old son this morning to show him the ropes on shooting a deer with a crossbow. Along comes Mr. Timberwolf who decides to pause completely broadside 17 yards from the tree stand. I let loose with the bolt as he was looking up at us...

It's northern Ontario for my buddy and I the first week of October. We would have preferred earlier but work has me state side the whole month of Sept. We have a bull tag and if none come close then by the weekend we shall take a calf with our rifle as it will be the start of gun season. It should b...

A real deer magnet is a bucket of sweet feed for horses. This is a mixture of corn and molasses and other grains available at your local Co-Op stores. It is sold in a 45 kg bag for about $14 Can. Real sticky stuff when handling it so wear gloves but guaranteed to bring the deer in and they will clea...

Re: Poll an turkey decoys
How many Decoys do you use? Well, there is nothing like using a live decoy! I sat this morning and did the cluck and the purr for an hour or so with 1 decoy in front of me. I was sitting in a pop up blind with shoot through windows but which also has the disadvantage of having blind spots. All of a...

Re: Why I shop?
What is your primary reason for shopping at the store that you frequent most?[/quote] :( Don, I am guilty of voting for price but service is also #1 for me. The reason I put price first is because generally speaking, I do my research on the web so that I know exactly what I will be purchasing. Then,...
