I have these . . .how many different ones are there? Is it only the square ones that are blowing up? http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q72/sumner4991/IMG_1361.jpg My plastic broke, so I served kite string around the cord . . .it works great. Mine was just like yours and exploded (into at least a d...

.........There are two issues with them. With the two deer I've shot, neither had a complete pass through(very close, the skin was pierced at the exit) and blades broke. Everything else, I love about the Hammerheads. Adding a little weight will cure the pass through issue. However, I don't think th...

I just read my last paragraph . . .boy, that makes sense. I've shot several with the WASP Boss and Slick Tricks, I only had one to fall in it's tracks. The rest ran on average of 150 yards or so. Three got away after tracking over 200 yards. I've killed two with the 2" Hammerheads, one dropped...

I like a longer shaft (20") just for the fact that when I decock the crossbow the bolt is in the middle of the stirrup. When you go to put your foot in the stirrup you will hit the bolt. This will prevent you from ever putting a bolt thru your foot.

Dacron String and a heavy arrow is my advice. My experience with silencers is that they won't hold up. While I have never see or shot Boo's string's, I have heard nothing but good things. You may want to give it a try. The bottom line is that crossbows are pretty noisy. If you have an Excalibur, the...

Try spin testing the heads. If the head is not perfectly aligned with the shaft and nock, it will not fly straight.

Other than that, Ive had success with any shaft I have shot. Also, different broadhead combinations.

Ill tell ya what, I would like an easy to pull crossbow target.

the bolts from my exocet bury to the fletching and pulling often requires grabbing a hold of the vanes just to get the bolt out.

Leave it to Tye to find something cool for us...

Thanks.

Thanks for the info about the repair. I could not believe it either as I have used mine to string and unstring my bow a half a dozen times. I was a little concern about the partial dryfire, but everything looked great. We finally had a chance to shoot it this weekend. The first shot was 1/2" aw...

Well the bow already came. We assembled it and it looks great. Feels great too. I now understand the issue with the safety. Not a big deal, but not the same as my exocet either. I did have one problem, the stringer shattered when we were trying to string the bow. Scared the living crap outta me. The...

He considered the Lumi-zone scope, however, the lighted reticle did not do anything for him. I think he has had problems with other lighted sights. He told me that he hates the "halo" effect he gets from lighted type sights. He was more than happy with the vari-zone. I guess it is time for...

Everything else he needs, I already have.

I can't wait the 2-4 days it will take to get hear, I want to shoot it so bad.

Thanks for your replies.

After reading the comments here and from previous threads, it seems that it is more difficult to access the safety. Can someone tell me a little more? I know that my exocet has one of the easiest safeties to access. Is it just different ergonomics, maybe the thumb is a little further from the safety...
