Thanks for sharing - more justification NOT to use ebay. I used to appreciate their service and didn't mind paying the fee's, back when they were reasonable. But as of late once you add up your selling fee's and transaction fee's (particularily for paypal) it's just not worth it. I have found that u...

Are Canadian turkeys easier to kill?
No! Contrary to the skill and success of folks like Droptine and RJ, it's not that easy north of the border

two days out, no turkeys :(

Remember this tom? http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=26423 Well, he's playing hard to get. I set out this past Tuesday just before dawn. A light rain was coming down, and no gobbles anywhere. After a few soft yelps from my box call, I heard a hen calling back from the next farm...

peek-a-boo!

Got up this morning at dawn to get in some scouting, as the rest of the weekend is filled with one of the kids' birthdays. Finally a promising sight - my scouting-drought is over! Hopefully this guy will be on the BBQ in a week or so...I just need to practice sounding sexy ;) http://farm4.static.fli...

I haven't used one yet, but I'm planning on picking one up as soon as I find them in stock somewhere. One of the instructors at the Turkey Seminar I attended this year swears by 'em (which is why I'm buying one). I'll report back once I've had a chance to try it.

I'll admit, I'm a little green with jealousy. I've been scouting twice in as many weeks in Woolwich and New Hamburg, I've yet to see any gobblers. Here's hoping my situation changes after the 27th! Otherwise I might have to take Ken up on his guiding ad in the trading post.
