I looked on the ballistics chart and though my arrows are more than 400 gr. it looks to match the 225 fps table .. does that make any sense.?? would upping the weight to about 575 slow it down to 225 fps ? I have it at the highest brace height hash mark... I apprecaite every response... I love my ph...

I would vote for the little handi rifle single shot with heavy barrel.. accurate and cheap.. the calibers could be any mentioned but the 243 is probably the best in wind and hits hard on deer and varmints.. the 204 is what I own, but I also shoot a 223 single shot as well.. down in Louisiana the cattle farmers are hit fairly hard by coyotes when calving..
the yotes and bobcats must take a lot of the deer cause where you have alot of them you have a lot less deer.
