Re: Axe on sale at Wyvern

No, I don't need to buy anything right now. I got my "fix" with the Axe. The Kryptek is so pretty.

Re: Axe on sale at Wyvern

The Charger EXT crank is very nice, makes cranking the Axe very easy. I think it is something like 12 pounds to crank. I have 3 of them, one for each of the micro bows. I can pull the rope on the Axe, but after a couple of times the body starts to say "Hey, there better be a beer after all of t...

Re: Axe on sale at Wyvern

If you were to put an Axe right next to a 360TD, you'd see that the stock and rail are exactly the same in dimensions. The only difference is how the riser attaches. The string sits further back on the Axe because of the shorter power stroke, the 360TD uses more of the rail. But otherwise they look ...

Re: Excalibur micro 360 td

Yup. Stock 360TD Pro with a 1 7/8" brace height (turns out it was shipped with longer REDS posts). Factory quills: 350gr is 360fps, 375gr is 348fps, 400gr is 335fps. I'll have some other numbers when the proper posts arrive that Peter sent. Going to run the Axe up against it using factory Quill...

Re: Excalibur Stringer

I wonder if that thicker cord would work better on the Axe? I tried re-stringing an Axe yesterday and the cord kept slipping at the adjustment side of the stringer. I've used this same stringer on the Micro 360TD, Matrix 380, and BD400 bows and never had it slip before. I ended up tying a knot to ke...

Re: Another ammo crisis

I am set as well. Found out my son-in-law always made jokes about the number of rounds I had. Now that he has nothing and the local shop shelves are clean, he has gained some new respect for my thinking.

Re: Excalibur Micro trigger questions

One hole groups for every single shot!!! :eusa-dance:  Going to stretch it out to 15 feet tomorrow.. :eusa-think: Take your time! Last shoot session I did in my garage I was glad I was aiming out the door at 20 yards. Missed the bullseye entirely and ended up tromping 100 yards into the wood...

Re: YAY OR NAY ON AIRBRAKES FOR THE A420TD

Good decision, the DrS dB Killers are superior to the REDS, but I give the nod to the Excalibur Limb Silencers over the DrS. Working on my 360TD tonight, getting it equal to my 360TD Pro. Interesting that you like the RAVS over the dBKillers on the limbs. I weighed them, the RAVS are 1.25 oz (548.5...

Re: matrix 380

I just sold one my two Matrix 380 bows, and it was a real struggle to do it. I decided to keep my BD400 (for now) along with one 380. They are fantastic bows, definite keepers. But I decided to put two Micro 360TD bows in the stable and had to let something go to keep the wife from complaining. Prob...

Re: Limb 'strap' question

I've noticed that as well between my various bows. Most recently was when I pulled out two new packages of air brakes I had sitting around. The ferrules in the two packages were 2mm different in height, just like janesy's picture shows. I measured the ferrules on the Micro 360TD Pro (since it came w...

Re: Morning or afternoon hunts

I picked the morning option, because where I hunt the bucks seem to show up at first light when the does are coming out of the bedding area. I can also track and find the deer and get it to the processor the same day. The one near me closes before end light, and I haven't learned to do the deer myse...
