I guess those idiots would rather see those kids starve to death. Last time I checked NFLD's industry was by far based on natural resources (fishing!). There isn't a lot of agricultural land on the rock either. These people have been living off those resourcs for hundreds of years, so it didn't surp...

R.J. Just kina made up my quote. My father once told me the most enjoyable part of hunting is the time you spend in the woods (alone of with good friends) leading up to the moment your critter walks out. Once you pull the trigger, the work begins. He was absolutely right! I hunted for 5 seasons at o...

I don't think it is a big deal if someone wants to reply and not register. Sure, there have been some cowardly replys by "guests", but if you return a reply to these individuals, you only fuel their fire. The best way to deal with these individuals is to not reply. After a day or two the p...

Yeah, that store is great. I've only been once, but it was well worth the trip. I went to one in Minnesota and walked out with around $100 in soft plastic baits and a tackle box about the size of a beer cooler to house it all. I could have easily spent $10,000 in a day there. 8)

I had a deer come to an apple pile (which had blood on it from a morning kill) and eat the apples the same night. I agree with bstout, our smell bothers them more.

I phoned MNR this morning for clarification on this because I could not find the answer in the Regs. I was told that if you hold an antlerless tag it is good for a buck, doe or fawn. That said, I got a second tag this morning for WMU 87 and in the Regs is states "Antlerless Only", so I'm a...

Gotta love that redial button! I just tried for about 10 minutes and got through. I almost feel guilty because some of you guys had a very early start to the morning. Anyway, I'll be looking for my steaks in WMU 87. With two tags I'll have to find a deep freeze too    Good luck everyo...

Got to agree. First class store. It was one of the first stops on the trail of Excalibur research and the owner spent 1/2 hour with me entertaining all my questions.

They have a load of great fishing gear too  .

I only hunted two days (gun season). Saw six does, two within 20yards, but we didn't have doe tags. Saw one nice six pointer at thirty yards..........in front of my truck crossing the road :x :x :x He was deep in the swamp by the time I got to where he'd crossed. It was good to see one anyway....
