Is Matrix noticeably Narrower
For those of you who have the new Matrix x bow, are the narrower limbs noticeably narrower and more user friendly when in the woods and tree stand. Limb width has not been an issue for me really with the old Vixen. Just wondering. Thanks

Replacing rubber coating on Summit tree stand cables
The rubber on the cables for my Summit tree stand is missing in quite a few spots. I googled this and there seems to be 2 ways to fix it. One way is to buy replacement shrink wrap and put it on the cables. The other way is to buy a can of spray on bed liner in a can and put that on the cables. Any o...

Deer hunting from a layout Goose Blind
Anyone ever do any deer hunting out of a Layout Goose Blind. I would imagine it would only work for gun hunting. Can anyone offer any tips or suggestions for this. Thanks

Re: Shortest Recovery wid Crossbow
A few years ago as dusk was rapidly approaching I shot at a good sized doe feeding on acorns at 15 yds broadside. At the shot she flinched, stood there for a few seconds, took a couple steps and started nosing around for more acorns. I thought FRICK, how did I miss her. I could see the arrow stickin...

Bowhuning around apple trees
At our farm I found an old apple tree in a fence row 200 yds from the woods where 3 fields intersect. Most years at least one field has corn in it. This year 2 of the fields have corn. It usually drops apples from Sept to mid Oct. In the past it only produced a few apples per year. 2 years ago I tri...

Re: Cold Weather Hunters???
In really cold weather do not have any cotton touch your body. For my feet I wear a polypropylene sock with a heavy wool sock over it inside a 2000 mg thinsulate rubber boot. Polypropylene long underwear tops and bottoms with wool over them. Jeans over long john bottoms fleece over long john tops. I...

Excaliber Replacement String
The string on my Vixen is starting to show some wear. Went to the store to look at strings tonight. They had replacement strings for carved tipped and mag tipped excalibers, but I could not find anything for a specific model such as the Vixen. Was short on time so I could not talk to a sales rep. Ca...

PVC Deer Feeder
Can anyone post a link to instructions on how to make a deer feeder out of 4 inch PVC. Also anyone ever compared shelled corn to corn mixed with molasses to see if deer prefer one over the other. Going to try some baiting for the first time ever. Thanks

My daughter and I get to participate in a controlled shotgun hunt for deer at Old Woman Creek in Huron Ohio this Saturday. Anyone ever been a part of that hunt that could provide me with some insight into what to expect. Thanks Bryan

Re: red dot- scope or sight??
I have tried red dots, sights and scopes on x bows over they years. I like the scope best. When using sights I would sometimes get excited and not line them up very well and miss. With a red dot I had trouble seeing the dot under certain light conditions and I would forget to turn off the battery an...

Re: Need some advice climbing tree stand or not
I have had a Summit Viper and then a Summit Goliath as I became more portly. Loved both. I switched to a climber due to my lock on stands being stolen, even when I was taking out my screw in steps on our own farms. Going in to hunt a stand in the AM and finding it gone sure raises the blood pressure...
