Gold Tip Laser 2 Bolts
I shoot gold tip Laser 2 bolts that are 18 1/4 inches long. That length includes a brass insert in the front and aluminum in the back. I have 3 four inch straight vanes on these bolts. I ordered a dozen of these off someone about 5 or 6 years ago on this website, and I am down to 4. My question is i...

Re: Twilight Deluxe Scope
Would this scope work on a Vixen, or is the Vixen to slow to use the yardage increments in the crosshairs.

Pelee Island
I remember someone on here mentioning going to and hunting on Pelee Island. I have visited all the islands on the Ohio side of the border. I am thinking of trying to go to Pelee. I think there is a ferry that goes to Pelee from the Sandusky area. Can someone tell me what Pelee island is like. Are th...

HSS Vest
Going to purchase a HSS vest to be more safe while using my climber. I wear a parka while I hunt with a lot of stuff in pockets I like to have access to. Do those of you who use a HSS vest wear it under your coat, or is it a better idea to get a bigger size and go over the coat.

Late Season Bowhunting Tips
Going to try some late season bowhunting for the first time. I can stay warm, but what are some good tips to help me kill a deer. Brown will be down. Should I hunt food sources. Are mornings or evenings the best. Should I use a climber or ground blinds. I am open to any tips. Thanks Bryan

Body Heater Suit or Warmbag
Anyone ever use either of these products to hunt in and stay warm. The BHS is 150 dollars more than the WB. Is it worth the extra cost. I need something to help me stay warm and seated on the deer stand for long hours in January. I will be using these with a Summit climbing tree stand. Thanks

Bowhunting Around Standing Corn
Some people hate hunting around standing corn. Some people love it. I have not liked it or done much of it, but a friend of mine says some of his best bow hunts for nice bucks are around standing corn. Do you like it or hate it. If you like it how do you set up, how do you play the wind, and is ther...

Re: Is an STS really worth getting?
I really like my STS on my Vixen. Before by STS when I shot my x-bow it would make a thwang noise that would kind of ring through the woods. With the STS it makes a quieter thunk noise that seems to me to be much shorter in duration and not as unnatural sounding. Does it make a difference on the hun...

Re: changing back to standard sights------no scope-------???????
A scope helps me a lot with accuracy. I could always shoot the various types of sights quite well when I was shooting at a target, but when I shot at a deer I could miss with amazing regularity. I would find myself not being able to recall lining up the sights. I guess buck/deer fever would get me a...

Where to get STS for Excalibur X-bows
A friend of mine owns a pretty nice hunting store. He has been selling Excalibur x-bows for a couple years and sells quite a few. He is having people want to buy STS systems for their Excaliburs. He cannot find a source to stock his store. Can anyone tell me where he could find a source of these to ...

Compounds
Two other things that could be said about compounds would be: 1. Compound bows wound far more deer each year than x-bows. 2. When I shoot out of an average tree with my compound I can shoot about 300 of the 360 degrees around me. With a crossbow due to the horizontal limbs I can only shoot about 180...

New Stuff
I like my Harris bipods a lot. A new boot I purchased this year that I really like is the Cabela's brand 2000 gram of thinsulate rubber boot. In weather when it is 10 degrees cold or colder I could never keep my feet warm. My feet were my personal chink in my armor that limited how long I could hunt...

Climbers
In March here in Ohio we have a deer and turkey expo. It is basically a big hunting show. I go to it each year. At the expo Summit always has a big display and has good deals on climbers with significant savings. This is where I bought my Summit. You also don't have to pay shipping on the stand if y...
