I figured out a formula that works well for my Equinox....at 10&20 use the 10 yard pin, at 30 use 20, at forty use between the 40 and 50 (like 45)

My stand height is 19' to the rail, and this works well.

I've night tracked somewhere around 100 animals....and tried every gimick, gadget, and "wonder product" out there claiming to make it easier....the absolute best blood tracking light is a good old fashioned coleman lantern, especially the napatha ones. The yellow cast from the light makes ...

.....and that is the most valuable lesson...ALWAYS aim for the heart.

Best case: You hit it
Worst case: The deer either crouches (mid double lung) or bounces (clear miss)

Aim small, miss small.

Shows in your signiture that you own 2 excalipur crossbows. Use the other one . Someone has not practised over the summer!!! Got a scope off a rifle you could line up for 25 yards? I could lend you factory scope or peep sights if you want to drive to Meaford or maybe I could meet you in Wasaga Beac...

Hi Guys. A buddy of mine just got a new package that he hasn't put together yet, so we are using his scope for now.

Bill~He says he knows you (Ryan), and he'll call you sometime in the next couple of days to arrange an exchange.

Thanks all.

Craig.

Take a break and start over. Check everything for tightness. Make sure the arrow is tight aginst the string. Good luck. Oh believe me, it's been checked.....been shooting competetively for 20+ years, so I've seen what loose screws can do. Everything is tight, it's the scope. The fact that the entir...

The meat will be fine, it hasn't exactly been warm at night. You should be good for at least 24-36 hoursbefore spoilage starts, and even then you don't lose the whole animal.....your processor will remove the spoilage. Get and look for him, and bring trail tape to tie off wherever you find a speck. ...
