Re: Vixen with Matrix Limbs possible?
I’d most likely go the route of modding the Vixen rail. I’m sure even with an elongated hole it will still be square because of the side ribs and the square riser against true square rail joint. The bolt holes on the Exo series rails were/are already generous and I believe not the part that determin...

Re: Vixen with Matrix Limbs possible?
I think I’m going to trade my 308 for a Matrix and talk to my friend who is a CNC machinist into modding the Vixen rail for me..

Vixen with Matrix Limbs possible?
Would a Matrix front end or limbs bolt onto a Vixen2 mainframe or would it require modification?

Re: Using a ghost blind
I had the shorter one. I sold it after a season because it was more hassle than helpful. Bulky to haul around, no rain or scent coverage and above all, always a pain to have to shoot through slots or above it. IMHO I'm just better off with a cheap stakeout blind where I can raise or lower the height...

Re: Ramcat Hydroshock-X
BTW, We've used the 100gr with 20"(422gr total) arrow out of Vixen 2 @ 278fps and 125gr version with 16"(410g total)out of 315 micro @ 302fps. Both Chrono'd.

Re: Ramcat Hydroshock-X
Have taken 2 deer so far with them. Nice blood trails on both despite high shoulder hits from 13 year old son who followed the blood to each about 50-75 yards to each one. I can say with high confidence, neither deer would have been recovered had they been an expandable combined with these shots. On...

Re: long limber
Long limb Excals will shoot great forever...In fact my son almost always chooses my Vixen 2 over his Micro except when we hunt out of a blind. I've had several Vortex, Exocet, Phoenix, Exomax etc.. The traditional stock and the long limbs just seem to naturally balance the best and IMHO are the best...

Re: Which spitfire BH
Did several tests years ago with Spitfires through paper tuning rack when I suspected they were opening in flight. With long limbed Excals shooting in the 305-325fps range the blades would consistently open on Broadheads that had been used or opened and closed several times. The blades rely upon a &...

Re: Recommend Me A Reliable 100gr Expandable
This is the second big Doe(160# and took Saturday)my 13 year old son has taken with the Ramcats and his Vixen. 35 yd shot as deer was turning. blew through shoulder blade, bent blade when it hit back bone, 1 lung, guts, and then embedded in the inside of the pelvis about an inch deep. The blade that...

Re: Recommend Me A Reliable 100gr Expandable
Rocket Steelhead or Nap Shockwave for 300fps bows and down, Rocket Sidewinder or Nap Spitfire(add rubber band) for everything above... Fly exactly like my field points beyond 50 yds as long as you orient them to spin true. If open to fixed blade, the Ramcats also fly to the same POI and work beautif...
