Worth one "Get Out Of Jail" free card! I'd save that one and get some mileage out of it!

Re: Rail Tip.... to help save string serving wear.
Hmmm...I've heard about not lubing the rail but as an engineer I do not see how this makes any sense. I'd love to hear an explanation on why you wouldn't. Not only is the string sliding across at very high velocity, there is also significant downward pressure to boot. So...downward pressure + a high...

Re: Chrony Usage Guidelines
I put a painters flood light over mine when shooting in the basement so I always have a consistent light source.
Great directions!

Re: Lets hear some good about micro
Oddly, both myself and my brother in law thought that the M355/M380 balanced and felt "lighter" to us. He ended up buying the M380 because he didn't like the feel of the Micro. Good choice in my opinion. But since it says Excalibur on the side I'm sure the Micros are awesome for those that...

Hmmm, that's strange, mine is the proverbial "glass rod breaking". I hope you get your situation with TT sorted out. I think they make a great product.

Re: Bro In-Law Gets a M380
I'm used to modifying my equipment to either tune it to me or just general improvements. It does suck though to dump near a grand into something and then still have to modify it so that it is "functional". It's not like this hasn't been a known issue for quite some time. How difficult is i...

Re: Cutting Arrows
What they all said! Personally I use a dremel tool with a cutoff wheel. Then square with a G5. Then, as mentioned square the insert once glued in. You would be surprised at the amount of wobble a non-square insert can cause.

Re: Excal Rope cocker
5mm kernmantle rope from REI or any rock climbing place will work exceptionally well and not show wear. The hooks though...they will wear where they rub the rail. I just bought a spare cocker for this reason.

Bro In-Law Gets a M380
Well, my brother in law finally came to light side and got rid of his compound crossbow. He picked up a M380 off ebay for a great price. We picked him up a stringer at Cabela's employee sale last Friday as well. He's going to order some arrows from Southshore archery based on my recommendations. Que...

Re: Opening morning airgun doe
Outstanding!!! I didn't know it was legal for us to use an air rifle, that's great! Air guns, yet another hobby that's in the rotation. If you haven't shot a some of the quality air rifles out today you should. Pyramid Air has an excellent selection of true hunting air guns.

Re: Michigan bow season, ( where are the deer ) ??
I've seen deer every sit so far this year except once and that was a very windy day. More bucks on the trail and than the last 2ys combined. We hunt in Ortonville and so far we have a 6pt and a 7pt down. Looking for another couple does at least. Looking to meet this big guy in the middle, hopefully ...

Re: Matrix 380 vs 405
To me the only reason to get the M405 would be to launch heavier arrows at M380 or M355 velocities. I've been slowing increasing arrow weight and will probably end up somewhere in the upper 400's to low 500gr region as I'm tooling up for Africa though and want to throw a heavy arrow. But a 530gr 18&...
