Re: Buck vs Doe Droppings
Same holds true for rubs. Although there's conflicting research, the most in depth studies I've seen were from penn state university which I can't find the link to. Here is another study link https://www.deerassociation.com/rub-and-repeat-bucks-return-to-a-few-rubs-not-all/ I guess nature isn't as p...

Re: Lead fragments in venison
Your words again "Irrational fear of of Biden banning ammunition sales caused people to hoard all types of rifle and shotgun shells (lead and non-toxic) leaving nothing available" My point is I believe it is perfectly rational thinking that the party in charge will indeed try to push throu...

"Irrational fear of of Biden banning ammunition sales caused people to hoard all types of rifle and shotgun shells (lead and non-toxic) leaving nothing available." Since you felt the need to include that, I'll also share my irrational fear of Biden not giving us our $2000.00 stimulus check...

Re: OT (bug out bag)
Last year Sean Parnell (who was running for office), a combat vet, had his house vandalized in the town I lived in that's 23 miles north of Pittsburgh. Also, the St. Louis couple that displayed arms whem a blm march trespassed on their property. So yes, the political climate has changed and yes bein...

Re: Innovation
I own 2 excaliburs and have been quite pleased. Part of my decision to buy was actually feedback from other owners that they stand behind their product. I did much research before purchasing and found that every brand has their share of vocal complaints. I haven't seen glowing reviews of any other b...

Again, not for me but some interesting new design features on this new ravin r18 "vertical crossbow ".
Between this and the twinstrike I love the innovation in the crossbow world. Maybe a new design will strike my fancy one of these days.

Re: Hats off to Excalibur
I personally don't want one, but kudos for the innovation. I'm guessing the new limbs, safety location/style, and stock may be used on future models that do interest me. I remember switching from my flip phone to a smartphone and friends saying I'll never get one, what do I need to text for? Innovat...

Re: First Batch of Jerky
The following items make ground meat jerky a breeze. One caveat, your friends will belly laugh upon seeing the blaster. Problem is solved quickly once they taste the finished product. Please post your recipe once you confirm its a good'un. https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/cabelas-80-liter-commercial-...

Re: First Batch of Jerky
If you want to try something a little different ...hi mountain pepperoni jerky seasoning. I've made it the last 3 years and it's very addictive ( I only ask that you dont tell my late grandmother that I'm using prepackaged spices) . I've made mine with ground venison, haven't tried with sliced meat ...

Fixed blade broadheads
Looking for opinions on fixed blade broadheads. I would like 150 grain if possible. Looking for real life experiences on blood trails and damage caused by heads. I've had great luck with swhackers, but have had a keep it simple mentality lately.
