What you're observing is parallax. My Tact 100 has bad parallax at any distance. Gotta really keep eye alignment perfect to be able to shoot consistently with it. My Hawke and Vortex scopes have much more forgiving parallax.

I agree that the Tactacam cameras are pretty good for what they do. They make some higher cost options with higher resolution and frame rate, but the cheapest version they make is good deal.
