I'm in Keswick, we race at Sunset Speedway, and we dabble at Kawartha too.

Re: Bowfishing crossbow
Everything I've read from the MNR in Ont, reads that they recognize Crossbows in the same manner as Vertical bow, Compound, and Long bow.
With that said, is it necessary to slow the crossbows down to prevent the trailing string from breaking when firing, and if so, how is this accomplished?

LOL, I can vouch for the good folks here. It's great to be able step in as a nubie and be welcomed. I know very little as well, from asking to reading, everyone has been helpful with valid points and opinions, with my questions.
Welcome!

Re: Broadhead vs Target Points
One other thing...you may want to invest in an arrow puller too. The screw in one that Excal sells works, but has a tendency to pull the nock out from time to time. Here in the states...Danny Miller...the Excal rep...sells a plier type one that he makes. I found that it works great and makes arrow ...

Re: Broadhead vs Target Points
Is this the one? If so, I'll make the trip and pick one up along with some broadheads to see how they shoot.

Re: Broadhead vs Target Points
What is the best type of target to shoot broadheads in to, the Realtree bag I have, doesn't recommend the use of broadheads? Is it possible to make one? I have 35 yards max, to safely shoot, if it matters.

What make is the one on the right and how many grains is it? It looks like it requires a rubber band to keep it closed too, is that correct?

Re: Broadhead vs Target Points
So far, I've been using Excal's Firebolts with real good results.
Thanks for all the advise and knowledge, it's great reading what is used, how and why.
