I use a Viper SS as my primary stand and it's a great stand. This is the 3rd Summit Stand I have had over the last 15 years. It is lighter than the previous version and the 7 lbs make all the difference going up ridges.

I am not trying to bash Rage Broadheads, simply to pass on the experience I had to a forum member who asked for opions. This was not a typical gut shot deer. I saw the entry point less than 25 yards asway broadside when the deer stopped for at least 5 seconds (Seemed like an hour). The point of entr...

We all have our own opinions and I appreciate yours and that's the great thing about this forum. I was upset at myself for the poor shot placement was it not what it should have been. I neglected to take into account that the buck was moving. Clearly the 10 Pt Rack had caused some excitement. I won'...

15 yard shot, hitting behind lungs. Almost no blood on the ground at point of impact. The 10 PT buck stopped 20 yards after he was shot and stood for a few seconds. I could see the point of impact. Small drops of blood on ground at that point. I found blood drops from both sides ( entry and exit wou...

I posted this last November, so my apologies to the forum members who have seen this. Rage against Rage Broadheads – Almost lost a Big 10 Pt Buck Plain and simple, the 2 Blade Rage broadhead did not open. It was 15 yard shot, right behind the lungs @ 7:30 am on Tuesday 11.18. I had plenty of time, w...

Iappreciate the info on the recall of the 3 Blade Rage. I purchased my 2 Blade Rage that malfunctioned in early summer of 2008. All I can say, is the only deer I shot with the 2 Blade Rage did not open. I had to spend over 20 hours tracking the deer to recover antlers and all of the meat was lost to...

Great Buck! What did you use to bring it down and did you have a chance to weigh it? Congratulations.

I went with the Exomax 3 years ago, mainly with the idea that faster is better. I am 5' 10" and always use the rope cocker and never have any problems cocking the bow. I have hand cocked the bow a few times and I was concerned that since I am a right handed, the pull to the stronger side made t...

I don't know why it didn't open, the Rage 2 Broad Head I was using had never been shot before. The target broad head that comes with the 3 pack sighted in like a field point. The vultures did their work below the neck. Luckily no coyotes had found it yet. I will still be able to mount the 10 Pt Buck...

Rage against Rage Broadheads – Almost lost a Big 10 Pt Buck

Plain and simple, the 2 Blade Rage broadhead did not open. It was 15 yard shot, right behind the lungs @ 7:30 am on Tuesday 11.18. I had plenty of time, with the 10 Pt Buck walking behind a Doe. Straight pass thru with plenty of blood on the each of the fletching, but almost no blood on the ground a...

I had a 2 blade Rage shot from my Exomax 2 years ago stick in the shoulder of a buck that was quartering towards me. The buck ran off and it took all day of tracking to recover the deer. I learned my lesson and have avoided all shoulder shots since.

Congratulations Tye! You have set the bar pretty high, with a 10 pointer for your first buck. $400 is about the going rate. Good luck on the rest of the season.
